    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Isn't this new pass only available to Deluxe hotel guests? If so the comparison doesn't hold, as Universal's Deluxe include their unlimited fast pass (for two days for both parks) in the price. Universal's one time and unlimited fast passes are available to anyone to buy. As this stands, for...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

We also stayed in BCV for our first week. First time in the pool at SAB, I hopped into the lazy river. I knew the depth ratings, but didn’t realise where I was going in. Feet (multiple) of water above my head. The contrast was in my mind quite a bit in HR.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

So is what feels like 20sqft of Hard Rock’s. I know because I felt that my entire time there this summer was spent shuffling towards it. And I’m not a tall guy. Slide was fantastic though. I have to say, I’m kinda stunned by what we saw of the room. It’s what I’d imagined for the other two...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Just left Epcot. Early, but I’ve never experienced it so empty. Interesting to note all the closed kiosks (outside of the F&W ones) etc. in World showcase.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

It's pretty far from even crowded I mean this is last Saturday. I don't even remember it being that empty back in late August in the early 90s.

That’s outrageous. Luckily we arrive the week before, but this is just incomprehensible to me.

1 BR Villas at GF vs 2 BR OKW

We’ve a 2 bedroom booked for OKW this August, but I’m starting to get the fear as to the resorts size… I was thinking of avoiding driving. Noticed that with the current offers, for the same money, we could get two extra nights (14 total) for a 1 bedroom at VGF. Disney’s site reports that the...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Same. Not a hope I'm going till it's gone. Same story for my brother in laws family and he's not in the least bit cost sensitive. He'd go 2 weeks, do the private tour thing every year and even with that option, he's done. Just not worth the hassle otherwise. Although he endorsed Genie in...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Genie plus was the straw that cancelled our planned trip next month. Premier Access didn't stop us going to Paris in April. The Ultimate version hadn't launched then (it really is unwarranted for anything other than day guests), but if you're prepared to spend it offers an even easier time...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

It was 3 Family rides or 3 Thrill rides starting at 30/45euro (off-peak/peak) One time use for all rides for 60/90 euro and unlimited for 120/150 euro. I mentioned this in the DLP forum, but the Premier Access use barely registered in the whole of last week when we were there. This was when...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Again, I was stunned how little the PA was being utilised during last week when it was at full capacity. I wouldn't be surprised to see them offer some version of the previous paid fast pass system within a year or two (3 x Thrill rides, 3 x Family rides). Not to mention some incentive to...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Unfortunately, it stopped working soon after. Didn’t see it moving our entire trip. Also, the main 30th banner under the train station didn’t spin either. Odd, given the superb weather.

Thanks. I could have checked that in the parks, but I didn't really want to, if catch my drift. My sales resistance would have been extremely low and ignorance was really the way to go for my wallet. As I said, we only spent a few hours in the Studios, but Rat was a 60 minute wait. PA was...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Just back from a five day trip. I didn't see the Annual Pass office open once! Would have popped in if fate deemed it to be... probably for the best, as I more than likely wouldn't have justified it. edit: while I'm here... The castle park looks absolutely phenomenal at the moment. I...

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

I think you're on to something there. But instead of it just being above you, how about the exterior is all around you. Like a floating glass box in space. It'd be a challenge and small (pools on cruise ships tend to be tiny besides) but it'd be something different. I'm sure an older Disney...

The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Testing hasn't really been much of an issue when it was a requirement for travel within Europe and I can't imagine that'll put many off who have waited two years getting back to Florida. The vaccination situation on the other hand is something a lot of people are paying a close eye on. That...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

I’m so curious as to how this will be received when IAS goes live. Disney’s usual overhype hasn’t had a specific dollar amount attached to it in the past, and I reckon that expectation will bite them in the right here. As I said before, it’s not a bad ride, it just fine, okay, acceptable...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

The restaurant was great and one of the few places we got decent food there. Also, the outside area was lovely, but yeah that ride. It just needs a whole lot more physical props and scenery to better integrate with the screens. It’s just moving from one large empty room with a screen to another...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I keep on seeing Rat cited as the example that people will be paying LL+ for. And I just can’t help but wonder how those people will react to it. If it’s a one to one clone of Paris then I’d be extremely disappointed to have a spent a single cent extra. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, but it...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Guess I’m cancelling my 11 nights at Rivera then. Sure someone will fill it, and Disney will earn some more more money over our park tickets, but we’d be insane to not save a couple of grand by staying offsite.
