Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Could staying in the hotel entitle a guest to unrestricted admission to Epic? Not being tied to the 1 out of 3 days admission or whatever it was? I don't recall if anything has been said about that restriction being lifted for guests of that particular hotel.

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

If they ever decide to close or dramatically change the attraction, which has been a rumour forever, they just need to announce it at the start of a presidency. The same discussion occurred when Obama was running. Closing it just before potentially electing the first black president would be a...

Wrongful Death Lawsuit and Disney's Scary Attempt

Complex in the sense that there are many reasons Disney can argue they aren't liable here. There were 16 I think that someone listed a while back. The one piece about Disney+ fine print has been highlighted because it makes for a splashy and outrage generating headline. It puts public pressure...

Wrongful Death Lawsuit and Disney's Scary Attempt

One note on the streaming aspect, as pointed out in a comment on Reddit from someone identifying themselves as a lawyer. This may have been highlighted because it shows that the individual signed up for Disney+ and bought park tickets via Disney's website, showing they had multiple...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I've seen a lot of the animated episodes, and personally never thought they were as brilliant as some do. I'm not 100% sold on him. His focus has been on building on existing material, does he have what it takes to bring forth original ideas? Ahsoka was decent, but again seemed to rely on...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

And then they'll bring in this mythical person that will make consistently great Star Wars stuff that everybody loves! Something even George Lucas couldn't do, but I digress...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

It's definitely a thing, but more I think for broadcast TV where a network orders a show but doesn't have the same level of creative oversight. They just buy 22 episodes or whatever of a show. Lucasfilm/Disney is producing this show in house so they could certainly dictate it be more of a...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

The show was just okay but I still think they should either commit to giving these series a conclusion or making seasons that are more standalone. An incomplete story isn't great for the franchise nor does it instill incentive to watch future shows, knowing we may end up with a lack of closure.

Disney/Raglan Road Sued Over Food Allergy Death

I wonder if the terms and conditions will be scrutinized. We've all "agreed" to terms and conditions when using various products, and they're usually dozens or hundreds of pages long. Most people don't read them. Would a court rule that burying such a clause in terms and conditions is...

New Streaming Prices and Disney+ to Introduce Continuous Playlists in U.S.

Netflix has thrived, in my opinion, because even at current prices it's not hard to get one's money's worth. Watching a movie a week alone is cheaper than renting things. It's also not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things. Of course, now that competition is growing and people are...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

Grizzly peak takes up a lot of space for what is a pretty standard water ride you'd see at any regional amusement park. Yes, the theming is a step above but it's not the type of think we'd expect from Disney. A problem with DCA on day one. Losing it and retheming the area is not something I'd...

Yep. High capacity attractions are so important. It feels like Disney forgot this at some point.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

While most of the attractions can be loosely connected to being part of the entertainment industry, which is concentrated in California, I think we're already past the point of the park truly having that sort of strong identity. At this point it's a park full of Adventure that exists in...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

Rian always gets blamed for J.J. decisions. Rian considered who Rey's parents could be and decided there was no existing connection that made sense. J.J. seemed to then pull an idea out of nowhere, and then it didn't really go anywhere. There was never an inkling it mattered to Rey as a choice...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

I'll have to watch a Shanghai Pirates video again, but I thought the ride looked a bit boring for large portions. It has the potential to make good use of physical sets and screens for the big scenes, but it didn't have much in the way of animatronics and just didn't have the amount of content...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

She'd have to make a case that her statement constitutes a direct political activity. I don't think it does. She wasn't prevented from running for office or from belonging to a political party. "employers cannot have policies “forbidding or preventing employees from engaging or participating...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

My understanding that a series regular would be under contract and required to show up for filming. Even then, they can be fired. Actors are written out of things all the time. The contract is one sided in that it obligates an actor to show up but doesn't preclude the relationship being...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

It's weird to keep making up things that I haven't said. I never said I was offended. I'm not even dwelling on what either said because I'm mostly commenting on the legal aspect.
