    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

No one has noticed that because we all use the 'skip credits' button. To save those valuable three seconds.

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

It seems a given that they didn't bring in Moss just for an extended cameo. The central mystery of the show is what these Jedi did and why they're being sought out for revenge. I have to assume they'll flashback to explain all of this at some point.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Interesting to know. I rarely delve into the personal lives of celebrities. I imagine for most people it's the same and won't be much of a factor beyond the one very public incident.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I created a general Star Wars thread since many of us are guilty of taking this one way off topic. Bring your hot takes on Attack of the Clones. https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/general-star-wars-discussion.983972/

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Did I say I loved it? It had some issues, but I enjoyed it for the most part. I still think it unfairly gets a lot of flack for things that J.J. did - Rey's vague heritage, Luke in exile, etc. If someone can write a good review why it deserves zero stars, they can have at it. I do think a lot...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Okay, we're all guilty of being way off topic now. Can we just get a general Star Wars discussion thread to rehash it all? Having said that, I thought at the time they should have had J.J. and Rian write the third movie together. J.J. was capable of making a comforting Star Wars movie that...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I'm skeptical of that graph because of the sheer number of of 0.5 star reviews. There are very few movies in my experience that are so egregiously bad as to warrant a rating suggesting they have zero redeeming qualities.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Except I'm not dismissing complaints. It's absurd to think any movie would satisfy all of the fans all of the time. I'm acknowledging there are a wide range of opinions, whereas you continue to insist a movie was universally disliked, which is nonsense.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Of course it's gatekeeping. The continued insistence that The Last Jedi is universally bad and disliked despite a pretty even split. Telling people they're wrong to hold a different opinion. It couldn't be more clear. Having a strong opinion one way or the other is not the issue. The...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

People are still into this obsessive gatekeeping and insistence that their opinion is absolute. Still insisting that no one liked Last Jedi despite a pretty obvious split down the middle. Insisting the franchise is dead and no one likes it. I guess millions of people are watching the Acolyte...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

I haven't followed public opinion on Will Smith since the incident, but I suspect it won't hurt him too much for a few reasons. It was an isolated incident, no pattern of violence. No one was seriously hurt. It was obviously wrong, but there was a reason behind it. Someone upset at the...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

If you read my post I said that there is a portion of criticism that is being driven by an agenda. Sometimes it's obvious. People openly criticizing a show whilst openly admitting they haven't watched it. Sometimes it's not. People will start with the agenda and then seek out reasons to...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

At the risk of stating the obvious, you're not going to get anywhere arguing this point with certain people. Of course they're going to come back with claims that all criticism is valid and based solely on content, and not part of a larger focused effort. They know the reality. It's simply a...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Can we please lose the stupid skip credits pop-up for these shows with opening credits that are literally seconds long? Seems decent so far. Good performances. Good production values. Story seems interesting Intriguing enough that I want to see where...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I suspect this is part of an effort to add some accountability by forcing people to confirm their need for an accommodation in person. It's clear it's far too easy for people to do that one off request and lie through their teeth in many cases. Perhaps the people who were willing to lie that...

    General Star Wars News

Like any Star Wars film or show, some people will like it and some won't. Some people need to learn that they might not like everything, others will have an opposite view either way, and lose this notion that somehow every Star Wars show can be broadly appealing to all. The Phantom Menace just...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

I know people who loved it and instantly bought a second trip when the closure was announced. The cost split amongst four adults was within reason for some people, just not enough people. I saw it as something I didn't think I'd love either, but would consider giving it a try under the right...
