News Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

I'm a Muppets fan and appreciate the importance of Jim Henson's final work, but I really feel it's far past the time for Muppet Vision to be retired. The focus on 3D as a "new" technology is beyond dated and isn't up to modern standards. The movie is still good overall, but why is a theme...

News Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

"What's a muppet? Well it's not quite a mop, and it's not quite a puppet, but man... So, to answer your question, I don't know."

    SPOILER: Deadpool (3) and Wolverine

I enjoyed it but agree the movie didn't quite do enough beyond the focus on the meta of it all. Breaking the fourth wall is funny, but more so when unexpected and done sparingly. When you're 90 minutes into a movie where Deadpool is winking at the camera every 20 seconds, it does start to feel...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Two hours for me is a good maximum, and anything longer I feel a movie really needs to earn it. Avengers works because there's a lot of characters to serve and we're invested in them. Titanic as well. Avatar(s) could have used a little trimming but were acceptable. On other other hand, there's...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

They got rid of 3D in Kong at Universal because the park was too heavy on 3D movie attractions. It didn't diminish the ride. 3D has been done a lot and having done both versions of that ride in particular, I will say removing 3D is fine.

    Survivor 47 Discussion Thread

I may have considered throwing a heavy object at the TV when Jeff said the bottom four lose their vote. I don't know if it mattered that much but I see the point that it leads to a "safe" vote. It turns out they didn't need Caroline's vote to oust Sol so it felt inconsequential here. One...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

I should have said WDW is one of the most important entities in Florida, as I don't know the exact details to declare anything as definitively being the most important. I will add though, that it's more than being the largest employer. WDW drives tourism. There are a great many businesses and...

    General Star Wars News

She has to release a movie on par with Empire to warrant any respect? That is some high bar setting. Lets not forget George Lucas himself never found a way to reach those heights again. There seems to be a lot of negativity already towards a movie that is a long ways away from even existing.

I just watched and I was kind of all over the place in terms of, is this good or bad? It is modern Survivor in a nutshell. They really lean into these small voting groups as the most dramatic thing, even post merge. At first, it was actually quite promising. You get a 3-3 showdown or a 5-1...

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

This new offering just reaffirms that Disney doesn't care about increasing capacity. They fill every available slot in a given day. Just look at annual passes and how they've become such a thing, especially in Anaheim. The passholder who goes all the time and pays $10 per visit and buys one...

Obi-Wan Kenobi film in the works

I bought the tie-in novel for Galaxy's Edge when it was on sale. It's not bad and the land becomes more effective when you have backstory for everything. The Art of Galaxy's Edge book also shows what the storytelling intent was. The concept as I understand it is that you'd explore the land and...

    Survivor 47 Discussion Thread

It's easy to criticize from the couch and with hindsight, but they really made the wrong decision. Rome is erratic and power hungry. There was always the risk he wouldn't want to be in a 2-2 power split. If he turned against them, and he did, they can no longer expect Sol to side with them. Of...

    Survivor 47 Discussion Thread

This was a fascinating vote because of the way it ties into last week and can be analyzed not just in terms of what happened this week, but how last week's decision led to it. Shannon on RHAP in particular highlighted how possible fear of Rome's power last week led to a scenario where he, as a...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Yeah, they haven't confirmed an opening, but will do so if feasible. They've been through this before and presumably have a decent idea of how quickly DS can bounce back from a hurricane.

    General Star Wars News

It amuses me when actors are derided for doing work for money. Newsflash, that's why most of us work. For money. I get that working in a creative industry will be different for some people in terms of why they take a certain job, but the level of judgement can be a bit much. Ford can obviously...

Between their recent high profile interview with Jeff and now this, the podcast must be doing really well. It was generous to include the on air mention and does speak to the mutual respect the show and podcast have. Aysha brings that recognized expertise to the show which is already paying...

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

The people concerned about Beetlejuice being released in September are going to be shocked when they find out when Disney starts running their Halloween parties ;) I imagine release dates are more based on competition and other factors rather than appropriate thematic timing. I agree there...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

The Volume tech seems very seamless to me. A lot of that footage will age better than movies where the actors are in front of green screens most of the time. The presumably bigger budget means we should see some epic space battles. The shows have generally been limited to single ships duking...
