    French Quarter or Riverside?

Joining Team Riverside. Just returned from a 5-night stay and spent time at FQ last summer, generally it'd be a toss-up (aforementioned transportation comments definitely give the edge to FQ if your goal is accessibility to the parks), but for a resort-centric trip, the larger feature pool...

    Disney Resort Breakfast

Unfortunately, there's really no hard-and-fast rule on when you can expect to be allowed to park at a given resort on a given day. We were once waved through the guard shack at the Contemporary in August by telling them we were getting breakfast at the Contempo Cafe (no ADR), and weren't even...

    AP parking question

You can either pick them up in DS or pay for parking and then, after you get your cards from guest services, they'll refund you the parking fee.

    where to get best burger

Mine was perfectly cooked medium-rare when I was there on Tuesday.

    Bug repellent in hotel room

None in our room at POR (of all places) this past weekend either. The "Mosquito Prevention" card was there, just no actual repellent, so I chalked it up to a Mousekeeping oversight.

Crew's Cup lounge at the Yacht Club. Seriously one of the most underrated spots on property.

PHOTOS - New bag check areas greatly enhance Magic Kingdom arrival experience

Couldn't be more pleased with the new setup. The wide open plaza makes such a difference, aesthetically, and I didn't perceive any delays or greater wait times arriving via bus. Having dedicated checkpoints at each of the boat launches (our preferred arrival method) is a gamechanger, especially...

PHOTOS - The Polite Pig coming to Disney Springs

Went there on day one, and were sadly unimpressed. The sides were undercooked and the sandwiches were unfortunately pretty dry. To top it off, it took over 20 minutes and a team of four separate cast members to try and figure out how to charge our bill to our MagicBands, at which point one of...

    Stitch's Great Escape Goes Seasonal

Either I missed it this week or they didn't actually end up reopening it when we were there on the 10th. The queue area was still just being used for stroller parking.

    Illuminations 4/8: No fire?

The inferno in Act 1 and the torch in Act 3 never went off tonight. First time that I can remember.

Are you trying anything new on your next trip?

New resort (Riverside) New dining (WL - Geyser Point; EP - Sunshine Seasons; YC - Captain's Grille; POR - Boatwright's; GF - Grand Floridian Cafe) New shows/attractions/tours (Rivers of Light; Behind the Seeds; English tea garden tour) And generally a new approach: not planning out every single...

    Pandora Soft Opening Watch

Fantastic. Now I get to spend the rest of the day debating whether it's worth booking a weekend trip only a month after we get back from spring break...

    Pandora Soft Opening Watch

For the sake of my upcoming 4/7-12 vacation, I hope so, too. (Mostly commenting to follow this thread...)

I just switched our Honeymoon trip from POR to CBR. Good Idea?

Construction on property may be a little off-putting depending on how much time you plan on spending at your resort, but an extra $75 a night will go a long way toward making your honeymoon special. Book a tour or signature dining experience (or several) you otherwise might not have!

Pre-Trip Spring Break (or, "what were we thinking?")

That's what I'm hoping as well. Even if the crowds are comparable to August, the milder weather will keep tempers from flaring quite as easily. I'm actually kind of glad that NYE was our first "level 10" trip -- it can't get much worse, so everything else will be a cakewalk by comparison, right? ;)

Pre-Trip Spring Break (or, "what were we thinking?")

Quick update: just did my semi-daily scroll through our itinerary and double-checked the park hours and noticed that MK will be open even earlier than originally scheduled, now with a 7-8AM EMH and 8AM full park opening. We've never actually been inside MK for AM EMH and know that not all...

    Uber from MCO

That page buries the lede: UberX (the most economical option) is simply not an option leaving MCO. You'll pay something like 2x more for UberSELECT compared to what UberX *would* cost you if it were an option. Thanks, Mears!

Pre-Trip Spring Break (or, "what were we thinking?")

Great to hear. For the past few months I keep calling it the BOATHOUSE instead (perhaps subconsciously?), but we're being a bit more budget-conscious this time and making this our only "splurge" meal so that we can enjoy more of the Flower & Garden kiosks and our Disney Springs pub crawl.

Disney Springs Pub Crawl - recommendations?

We've done the monorail circuit and drinking around the World Showcase, but during our upcoming trip next month we have an evening set aside to tour Disney Springs after dinner. We've been to Jock Lindsey's and Raglan Road...where else should we visit (and what should we order)?

Pre-Trip Spring Break (or, "what were we thinking?")

We've done WDW in mid-August for our honeymoon and on New Years Eve, so it's only fitting that we continue down the road of ill-advised trip timing by scheduling a vacation over spring break. My wife's a public school teacher, which limits how flexible our schedule can be, but on the other hand...
