Pass Holder merchandise for a non-Pass Holder

I'm not a passholder, but I agree with this. That's why it's exclusive merchandise. Just like how you can't buy the MNSSHP Framed Pin Set or Boxed one for that matter, outside of the party (unless purchasing via 3rd party sites). If it were available for everyone to get, it wouldn't be...

    Haunted Mansion Holiday edition

Wow, almost to the day if you look at the date this thread went up LAST year.... Pretty much the same title too... heck, maybe even the same poster under a different name! http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/haunted-mansion-nightmare-before-christmas.916718/#post-7356121

    Lesson learned during Disney engagement

Agreed, Disney wasn't in the wrong. Things for celebrating are things that have already happened. Not anticipation of things to come. Disney can ADD that to your file of what you're celebrating AFTER you're done. Needless to say though, Congrats OP, you dodged the bullet and she said yes.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

Yup. The one of the neater things they do is when they close all the doors on Main St. to the shops. To get in, you have to show your party band because they don't want non-party guests buying limited edition party only merchandise.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

Well, as is the customary response here, always keep checking daily. As your trip gets closer, people will finalize their schedules and you may be able to snag a ressie closer to your trip.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

I see the benefit of trying to do BOG during the party, as only so many people can get into the party, but I still see it as a waste of the party time though. BOG is open outside of the party, the party is only so long and you pay a premium for it. Everyone's got different priorities though.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

We were at the 2nd party in 2014. We found a spot on the curb on Main St. around 7:30 or so for the 1st parade. We were conversing with another couple who we found was from around our area here at home. As it started to rain, we all stood up. Well, this family with a couple kids comes up...

Anyone book thru DVC Rental Store?

Isn't one of the DVC rental sites (not DVC Rental Store) a sponsor here? I'm surprised this thread is still up.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

Also be careful about offering information about dodging CM's/stealing an experience of a separate admission... I believe that is against forum policy.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

We've seen people try to do this (hiding their wrists). The CM's do a thorough sweep and they WILL ask for you to roll up your sleeves. Anyone without a wristband or party ticket gets found and ushered out.

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

For the parties, you have to find a CM and get your magic band scanned. And no, you won't be able to avoid them. The CM's are spread throughout the park and sweep areas. You will be found and your band will be scanned. If you have a valid party ticket, you will be issued an event specific...

Magic Kingdom - why are they closing so early

The parties are a separate ticket with its own admission price. There are also other threads that discuss Disney and its shorter operating hours (outside of party days).

Showing up early for a dinner reservation

We had a 7:30-40ish reservation at Teppan Edo in January. When we left the restaurant, literally the dialogue ended and the first shell went up. Teppan Edo meals are lengthy.... but sooo worth it :D I'd make a choice. Either fireworks or Teppan Edo. You have a very slim to none chance of...

Disney to honor memory of boy killed by alligator last year

I'll take the title from you... I'm not a fan of this.

    Electronic devices on rides :(

Any illumination in a dark room is going to be bright. These rides are called "dark rides" for a reason, no? Rides like the HM are dark the whole way through. The ambiance of the ride is to be dark. So when ANYTHING is lit up, be it in another car or whatever, it's a distraction...

    Electronic devices on rides :(

Because once the pic is taken, the screen still lights up with the photo that was taken. So the phone still being illuminated is just as bad.

What to do if kid gets separated

Leave it on the front. If he were to get separated, and be upset, he may not (and probly won't) be able to comprehend what's going on. If a CM were to ask some questions as to... are you lost? is this number here for your mommy or daddy? he could shake his head or whatever and they could call...

What to do if kid gets separated

The only thing with that, is... say you're in the Magic Kingdom. There's SOOO many different CM's wearing different outfits. Here's an idea.... Make an "explorer badge" button. Put his name and your phone number on it. Tack it to his shirt. Everyone wears buttons in Disney and CM's DO...

    Anyone Not Want Online Check-In?

Apologies if this was mentioned already, but I like going to the desk because if I'm not sure of the layout of the rooms, they tell me where I'm going! In January I received the texts telling me my room was ready and the room number, and I still stopped at the desk anyway.

With all the closures and construction, is worth FASTPASS At Disney studios for end of AUG?

Your plans are your plans. I would take a couple days here and monitor what the wait times look like then make a decision. Do keep in mind though that at the end of August, you'll have Food and Wine starting up, so it'll be getting busier at Epcot.
