News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

That is a factor before the cashless trial. You determine what cards to use on your trip and plan your trip budget around those. Have always done that going to Disney and nothing has really changed about the planning and budget process.

News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

Nope, not an example. Doesn’t change the planning every international traveller, regardless of country has to take into consideration. The trial policy doesn’t change that. Oh, and when you Americans travel internationally you become the foreigners and have all the same things to consider...

News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

Not a new impacts. Travelling internationally always have had to work that out.

News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

Ok, so what impact then? There really isn’t any. And what fees and constraints other than those international travellers always factor in? There is nothing new here so really no new impact. The net additional impact of this trial is essentially zero. So again, what does foreigner have to do...

News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

What has ‘foreigner’ got to do with anything about this? I can use my Visa, MasterCard or American Express anywhere in the world that they operate, which is most countries. And think about, when Americans come up to Canada you are the foreigners and have no problems using your cards up here...

News Disney to pilot electronic-only transactions at its resort hotels

I'm a foreign visitor and it's not an issue for me at all. Resort and restaurants are already cashless for us.

Help! WDW want to change our resort

Yep, you are correct. It opened in 1991 as the first DVC could be called Disney's Vacation Club because it was the only one until 1995.

    Poly room

That's where we always stay at the Poly. Third floor balcony, treats and drinks from the CL lounge, plus fireworks can't be beat.

Assuming you are not in DVC, likely Tuvalu or Aoteatora.

    Canada Pavilion Beaver Tails

Ok, the real story. Beavertails is a Canadian company and still active and popular up here. The company and Disney could not come to a financial agreement to operate in Epcot and the company decided it was not viable. So in 2005, might have been late 2004, they ceased operations at Disney but...

"Do not disturb" signs being removed from resort rooms

Why? Nothing really changes. Sign goes from Do not Disturb to Room Occupied. If you are getting housekeeping that’s the entrance for the day and that already happens. If you chose not to get housekeeping it already says that they may enter. It’s a safety thing because I can tell you as a...

Magical Express & Day Guest question

Exactly. They are allowed to operate as a resort transfer service, not a bus service. So, they can only transfer between MCO and your resort. Not a resort guest then no transfer.

    Air Mattress in Value Resort?

As a hotelier I have to come in on this one. It is ok to have an air mattress as long as you do not block your egress. If there is a fire or other emergency you will have far less time to get out than you think, 90 seconds max. An air mattress blocking the egress can make all the difference. Try...

What is going on with the rides

Thunderstorms around the area. Not necessarily directly overhead but relatively nearby. Lightening can strike 6 miles from the thunderstorm and rides have to be closed when it's that close. From the radar I've looked at there was a large cell just west of WDW and it's dying down now. It can be...

    another parking situation thread

Parking for ADRs is only for the ADR, not for going to a theme park. You can park while using the resorts facilities but you have to move after that. In other words, no time allotted for the MK visit.

"Budget Cuts" - Now Showing at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Well, your arguments would have more credibility if you knew your industries. They are NOT in the SERVICE industry they are in the HOSPITALITY industry.

Ever leave something behind for other guests?

Most likely. Almost all hotels operate like the ones in our group and have a standard setup plan for an incoming guest. That includes removing anything left behind and ether trashing it or sending to lost and found. Incoming guests expect to find the room in the best shape possible and with no...

Flight of Passage, How Does it Rank at WDW in E-Tickets?

My opinion, based on riding it multiple times when the Yeti was working, I'd say you are over stating. The story is still finished by meeting the Yeti.

Should Disney split the parks from the rest of their non park businesses?

Don't fool yourself about Walt. Read a little about how he really operated with his actions against his artists, his hard nosed negotiations with several companies to fund and build Disneyland, and his dealings with P.L. Travers. He learned from losing Oswald that to succeed in business you had...
