    “Something major” coming to DHS???

MJJ is also the same ride system as A$$ in the land right next door, so it would be a natural cut (though, yes, Disney does sometimes build multiple similar rides in the same park). The ideal scenario would have them retheme A$$ to MJJ and relocate it to Carsland (perhaps not in the exact same...

News 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort reopening in April 2024

It’s telling that they didn’t include Asha in this lineup, considering that her movie is literally called “Wish.” Of course the movie bombed at the BO, but it’s clear that Disney doesn’t have high hopes for a turnaround for this IP on D+ (FWIW I just watched the movie and I thought it was pretty...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Another option (that I don’t anticipate would ever happen) would be to use the expansion plot to create a little mini land with a smaller ride, QS restaurant, bathrooms, etc. It’s a big plot of land, so it could be used for multiple things, but all rumors I’ve ever heard for that area have been...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Right, which is part of why I think the total removal of the river is so unlikely. The proposal I shared above is what I view as the most extreme scenario. What I think is most likely would be them shortening the river to a lesser extent, just enough to open up the area northwest of HM to allow...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

I would be shocked if they decided to fully fill in RoA. The most extreme scenario I could envision would be something like this: Which would allow for the continued operation and maintenance of the LB, while opening up significantly more land for expansion.

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

What about when he said “We will be bringing Figment to Epcot in a whole new way… [huge applause]… a new M&G”

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

The forced “employee-owned coop” narrative is clearly just Disney apologizing for their own story. In order to justify the ride’s elevation, they made it a salt mine, which meant Tiana couldn’t just own a restaurant, but an entire food empire. But of course, making Tiana a greedy capitalist...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Yup and many kids aren’t necessarily ready to ride these thrill rides even by the time they reach the height requirement.

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

They may be true at most amusement/theme parks, but certainly not at WDW. In MK, I would expect most 3yos spend the majority of their day riding rides. Same probably goes for Epcot. In DHS and DAK, that’s not possible due to the lack of offerings. But that doesn’t mean the demand isn’t there.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Conceptually, this would be no different from what we have in NFL, with areas themed to Snow White, TLM, and BatB all side-by-side.

So villains will be serving as transportation vehicles while cars spook people and cause trouble? Definitely not the direction I would have gone…

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

RSR and TT are such drastically different rides that I don’t see it as an issue. The only parts of the rides that are in any way comparable are the fast parts at the end, but the scenery (or lack thereof in TT’s case) is so different that it’s really no more similar than 2 roller coasters that...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

No, they’re different ride systems. Dinosaur (and Indy in both Cali and Tokyo) use the EMV (enhanced motion vehicle) system, which is essentially a ride vehicle on top of a motion simulator. TT, RSR, and JttCotE in Tokyo use the slot-car system, which only allows for traditional forward motion...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Yea I think Cars would be a pretty natural choice (and it’s by no means one of my personal favorite IPs) for a few reasons: - BTMR will loom large over whatever goes next to it, so it needs to be something with a similar aesthetic - If Villians is BBTM phase 2, it makes sense to choose something...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I think Figment has become an IP in its own right, which explains why it hasn’t been rethemed to something else, like most other IP-less rides that aren’t super popular. I don’t think we’ll be getting an improved Figment ride in the near future, but I also don’t believe that Figment is on the...
