    Be Our Guest ADR

We ate dinner there last week, and really enjoyed it. The main dining hall is beautiful! My 3yo daughter was asleep when we arrived and didn't wake until after we were seated. She woke up and wanted to go outside and play in the "snow" she could see in the faux window!

    Best Disney Radio

I listen to quite a few of them on Live365 and Mouseworld is one of the best, IMO. My favorites are Magical Mouse and Radio Buena Vista.

Raglan Road vs. Rose and Crown

We've done both, and the only time I would choose R&C over Raglan is if you're able to get a later dinner reservation and sit outside to watch Illuminations. We did this last week and it was unbelievable! Raglan is a very different experience, but the food was great at both.

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts Tres

We have no plans to even try eating at BOG again for dinner any time soon. It is totally worth doing once, IMO, but not good enough to warrant the trouble again until things calm down.

Spirited News, Observations & Thoughts Tres

I couldn't help but think of a certain Spirit during our dinner at BOG last week. It was actually quite good, but I think part of that was thanks to lowered expectations from everyone poo-pooing it lately. Now, it was nowhere near as good as what we had at Flying Fish the following night, but I...

Driving to DW..should we really drive to all parks except MK?

We always drive to WDW, and typically drive to every park but MK, depending on where we're staying. We avoid buses at all costs when staying at values, but have had decent experiences at deluxe resorts. The only buses we used at BC last week were to MK, and I swear it took twice as long for them...

Driving to DW..should we really drive to all parks except MK?

I wouldn't, though technically you may get away with it. You are only supposed to park at the resorts for up to 3 hours for meal reservations (and depending on time of year, where you're staying ,etc. you may be issued a temporary parking pass). I personally have never seen this enforced at the...

First ride for child's first visit

First ride we took our 14 month old on was Dumbo, and it's now her favorite (along with Flying Carpets and Small World). From my experience, you'll have more issues with the 4 year old being skittish about rides than the little ones, although they're all different. We just got back with our now...

    Fast pass+ ?

We had a CM at the IG entrance last week pontificating on when this would be fully operational. His best guess was middle of 2014, but then we know how reliable CM's can be...

    Crowd Calendars?

Personally, Touring Plans has been the most accurate that I've used. Typically, that time in December is not bad at all crowd-wise. You can also check out this site which ranks the weeks to go. That week is listed as one of the best times to go out of the entire year, so I'd say you'll be in...

    Pool at AKL Kidani

We spent time at both the Jambo and Kidani pools during our stay back in August and loved both. I think the Kidani slide is actually bigger, and there's a separate water play area that wasn't fully working when we were there, but looked fun. Also, you can take the shuttle over to the Jambo pool...

What's with the crazy wait times?

We were there last week and the crowds and wait times weren't bad until the end of the week. The one exception was TT, which had a huge wait every time we checked. I noticed a big bump in crowds at both the resort and parks from Friday through Sunday when we left. I think most folks got out of...

Rained like mad at WDW today

We were at Epcot Saturday for most of the day and the weather was great. Then decided to hit the pool late afternoon before heading over to DHS for the evening. Needless to say, the rain interrupted both our swimming and DHS time. That system just parked over the area and dumped on us for a...

    Trip Club June 2013

Back from our trip first week of June. Had some weather a couple of days but nothing we couldn't handle. Crowds weren't bad at all until the end of our stay. There was a noticeable jump in the crowd levels at both the parks and our resort beginning with last Sat as more people started arriving...

    Rope drop at International Gateway

I can confirm that the bakery does open at 9am, as we ate there one morning last week. I don't think many people realize this, as France was completely empty. On this particular day we entered IG around 9:15am, and there was no rope at the bridge to France. I did, however, notice that the bridge...

Counting the days to June...a first PTR!

Mid-trip update! Just returned from Kona and some Tonga Toast, and now sitting in our room on our Resort Day, catching up on emails and work, while tropical storm Andrea has her way with the parks. Glad we chose today as a resort day, although a bit disappointed we won't get to spend more time...

    Rope drop at International Gateway

They started letting us in at 8:45, which seemed about right as we got to Soarin in FW about the same time as the main crowd of folks coming from the front.

    Rope drop at International Gateway

Update: standing at IG this morning waiting to get into Epcot and the CM stated that they are now opening the IG entrance earlier than the main entrance as a result of folks staying in the Epcot resorts writing letters complaining about the longer walk to FW. We'll see what time they actually...
