    Trip countdown for the PC

We use this one from intercot - it places a little widget on your desktop that has photos from wdw: http://www.intercot.com/interactive/countdown/default.asp

Where can we see price breakdown of booked pckgs?

We've never been able to get a CM to give us the cost breakdown when booking a package. Not sure why they're so secretive, but they don't generally give you that info in my experience. We typically book room only and buy tickets elsewhere, but our last trip we were given a better overall price...

trying to figure out prices for a disney vacation

Depends on a huge number of variables - will you stay on-site or off? How many days? We have done WDW for as cheap as $2,500 for a 4-5 day trip, staying on-site at a value resort, no air fare. Our last trip was 7 nights at a deluxe and ended up around $5,000 total.

    WDW Imagineering

Why thank you! That was taken during her first trip to WDW back in 2010 when she was 14 months old. She's about to turn 4 next month, so she's growing up too fast! We just got back from her 4th trip to WDW in June, and she loves it almost as much as we do. She's pretty much all blonde - we've...

    WDW Imagineering

As secretive as WDW has been about this project, I don't see them being willing to give out this info. We don't really know where WDI is in terms of the design process, but even if a GC has been chosen, private companies don't necessarily have to make their bidding process public information...

    Wilderness Lodge Views

Just something to consider - if you know what to request a woods view room can be a great choice. Some woods view rooms on the top 2 floors facing the MK provide a decent view of some of the higher fireworks from Wishes each night. We loved our stay there!

Wilderness Lodge boat - MK rope drop

We used the ferry several times, including to make rope drop, so yes it's possible. It's also my experience that the buses and ferries start operating earlier than what the web site says. You can ask the front desk when the first ferry/bus leaves, but we've caught buses nearly 2 hours before...

Help With Making A Career Out of WDW

It sounds like you are going to have to either take a job that doesn't pay enough or try and work your way into TWDC via another route. If I were you, I would decide on a specific career that you are qualified for (or can become qualified for) and that Disney utilizes, but focus on getting hired...

Living at Epcot - A June Beach Club TR

We've had great service both times eating at Kona. Our server this time was fantastic - we told her we loved the Kona coffee, but weren't interested in paying the $40 to bring a pound of beans home, so she brought us a complimentary cup of the Kona blend to try. Overall, we've been very...

Living at Epcot - A June Beach Club TR

Day 4 - Resort Day Thursday was to be our relaxing day at the resort. We were planning to spend most the of the day at Stormalong Bay, but tropical storm Andrea had other plans. We started the day with a breakfast ADR at Kona Café, but the teenager wasn't down with getting out of bed early after...

Living at Epcot - A June Beach Club TR

Finally getting back to finishing this report - we don't do the DP these days so I'm not sure about how it works here. I know most of the items at Sleepy Hollow are snack credits, but not sure about the waffle sandwiches.

Just a pre trip question or two

We were there last month and I experienced no noticeable change in the way security was handled over previous years. They still had the separate lines for people without bags - the exception is the IG from the Epcot resorts, and the lines were no longer than usual. As for traffic and gas, it...

Living at Epcot - A June Beach Club TR

Finally getting back to it - Day 3: Magic Kingdom! Up bright and early to catch the bus over to MK. The little one enjoyed watching the egrets and otters swimming in the canal behind the bus station. We used the buses only to get to and from MK during our trip, and never had to wait more than 20...

    Fabric Autograph Pens/Markers

Had to ask my wife, as she got all the characters to sign a t-shirt during this past trip. She used some fabric markers made by "marvy uchida". She also said to avoid pastels and neon colors. It was a pain, but turned out great!

Living at Epcot - A June Beach Club TR

I'm an engineer as well, and I was looking forward to designing the car. The overall experience just didn't make sense without it, and the ride itself was very similar to the original version with different scenery. I wasn't impressed. The pearl thing is fun, if only for all the attention that...

    FIreworks a no-go

I feel your pain! Our 3yo is also not a fan of fireworks. It's the loud noises that bother her more than anything. We started taking her when she was 14 months old, and the last couple of trips, we have just learned to accommodate her by bringing earplugs and making sure that we watch from a...

Looking for the truth about Value Resorts

We've stayed at both value and deluxe multiple times, and I would not hesitate to stay at a value again - IF the conditions were right. Our rules for staying at a value: 1. It has to be "off-season". While this seems to be more elusive these days, there are times when the parks are far less...

    payment deadline date

Yes, room only reservations require only a deposit of the first night at booking, with the balance due at check in. MYW packages have to be paid in full at 45 days before check in (although there appears to be some leeway with that).

The take-out counter at B&C is a great thing - especially considering that the wait to get a table is usually over an hour. They don't have every menu item available at the counter (the kitchen sink and a few other specialty items aren't there) but its great for a quick scoop of ice cream or a...
