Advice Needed - How Young is Too Young?

We took our youngest for the first time at age 14 months for a total of 9 days, and she has now been a total of 4 times before turning 4. I've also heard of others who took their young ones to WDW and didn't have a great experience (although I think planning and being prepared may have something...

    Family Trip Planning- Spring Break?

SB can be the most crowded time of year, depending on when Easter falls during the year. Easter will be early again in 2015 (4/5 - similar to last year). Last year the crowds during spring break were horrendous because of that. We are planning on going during our spring break in 2014, but only...

getting to a ard at crystal palace on time..

We actually caught a bus from our resort at 6:45am during our last trip for this same reason. If you want to make your ADR, then you definitely need to skip the opening show. Talk to your resort front desk when you check in and ask what time the first bus will run, then try and catch that one...

    Best WS dining with toddlers?

Most of the restaurants in WS offer pretty basic kids food in addition to the regular menu. Our little one has eaten at La Hacienda, R&C, Le Chefs, Via Napoli, Le Cellier, and Akershus (breakfast) - between the ages of 1 and 3 - and we had no issues with her eating at any of them.

Wishes Dessert Party Now Booking 180+10

Apologies if this has been mentioned in another thread, but it looks like the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is now booking at the 180 +10 mark. Typically, these reservations have only been available between 30 and 60 days out, and they fill up fast. But my wife just booked a reservation for...

    Need help deciding

We often do AK as almost an afterthought on our last day (travel day), or in combination with another park in the afternoon, just because it's only a half-day park for us. We like the FOTLK and Nemo shows, KS and EE. Otherwise the park feels too congested for my liking, and I can see animals at...

    DVC rental points

We've considered renting several times and never pulled the trigger. The only down side I have seen is that with most places you have to pay up front for the entire stay (or close to it), whereas with a package or room-only you can put a minimal deposit down and pay over time. There's an easy...

    Disney, the weather, and disappintment.

Sorry to hear your trip was interrupted by so much weather. Doing WDW in the rain with a little one is really no fun. I would, however, encourage you not to wait too long to take your daughter back. We started taking ours at 14 months, and she just went on her 4th trip at age 3 back in June...

Best option with toddler and MIL ?

We took our youngest at age 14 months and also brought my wife's mother along. I highly recommend the additional adult! We decided on WL for a number of reasons, but the number one issue is proximity to the parks. With a little one it is very nice to be close enough to the parks that a quick...

    Boardwalk vs the Beach Club

For me, it would depend on whether you have kids, and whether the quality of the room itself matters. With kids, BC wins hands down because of SAB. Our 3yo would've stayed in the pool all week if we'd let her! Without kids, I would choose BW. The rooms in the BC villas honestly need a refurb...

    Beach club villas in Dec...

We just stayed in a studio in June and loved it. The rooms are small and nothing special (I agree that they need a refurb), but we were perfectly comfortable (2 adults and 2 kids). The proximity to WS made it worth every penny IMO. This is a handy guide: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ We...

    Osborne Family Lights

Oops! A look at the calendar and comparing to last year would seem to indicate that the last night will be 1/4 or 1/5 this year. In past years it has run through the end of the first week in January, so I wouldn't expect it to run to 1/6 this year. There are also rumors that this...

    BWV bus route needs updated

We stayed at BCV in June and only used the bus system to get to MK, but I will say that every time we used it we had no issues. Only once, toward the end of the week, was a bus at capacity. The route did seem to vary, though. For the most part we went from BC straight to MK, but one morning the...

    Road construction on my route?

Construction is ongoing in Macon, GA right now. I would take 475 bypass unless you plan on stopping there. There is also some construction in south GA at the moment around Tifton and Valdosta. Mostly just lane closures, so it shouldn't cause problems.

Hidden Secrets about staying at BC/YC

We stayed at BC in June and absolutely loved it! The entire resort is beautiful, and the pool is amazing. Beaches and Cream is a must do - although you may be in for a wait to sit down depending on time of year. There's a take-out counter which has many of the items, and the line is usually...
