    What time would you leave?

big FW cabin fan here would drive straight through. take a nap when you get settled at FW though, seriously. this way your night isn't shot. basically wake up at an ungodly hour, drive straight, handle dog/car etc, nap at least an hour, and have the whole rest of the afternoon feeling fresh...

Just have to share our planning!

looks good, my only question mark would be towards the epcot day. i remember when i went there for the first time we had reservations and cancelled because once we got there we realized a couple things about epcot 1 it's way bigger than i realized and takes a long time to see everything...

    Best time to book airfare

i've never been able to figure this out either. regardless of when i book or what i use (expedia, priceline, disney etc) none of it seems to change. for what it's worth i use laguardia and usually jetblue. if somebody has suggestions i'm also all-ears otherwise if i were you OP i would just bite...

What is your favorite place to eat in each park/resort?

MK - Be Our Guest, the whole experience is something you have to do at least once. Cheaper/quicker alternative - love me some Casey's Corner Epcot - awfully hard to nail down one choice here. Big fan of Mexico, if we're talking drinks I'll take the La Cava HS - 50's Prime was fun, much like BOG...

Trip Report *Completed* It took 10 years, but we finally had our Disney Christmas!!! ☀️☃☀️

the whole thing with the cards/notes every morning is great. what a good idea. i assume that cost a bit but totally worth it for kids.

    Skip DHS?

i'll be skipping but i've been before and will be again. if this were a once in a lifetime (or once in a longtime) trip i would certainly be doing HS despite construction. it's past its prime but still worth the visit to see everything and some of the shows.

are these two years of not worth going?

going in the Fall of this year and I see no reason to spend money on Hollywood Studios tickets. We've been there before and it was already the least interesting park in my opinion. I don't see how Disney expects people to go there when you can go to AK/Epcot etc for the same money. I'm sure...

    50s Prime Time Reviews

i thought the food was solid and the waitress did a great job staying in character. always SMH when somebody complains about the servers' "attitude" at 50s. come on now.

    Car brand loyalty.

it's all about what you want. to me it's a big expensive toy. and yes the weight is a factor, i would not go for anything less than the SRT level (or a Hellcat if you really have $$ to burn) Personally I find a smaller car like a focus underwhelming but like i said earlier this is basically me...

    Car brand loyalty.

Been a Dodge/Ram guy my whole life. Used to have a Durango back in the day, eventually traded it towards a Ram 1500 with the hemi in 2011. Driven daily ever since. Would love to own the SRT Challenger someday as a second ride if i play my cards right

    Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness

cabins are the only place we stay when we go. check my trip report in my sig for some pictures from '14. we'll be back in '16 and really looking forward to the renovations. my only complaint was the bed size and apparently they upgraded to queens now the carts are a blast. if you have it in...

To Drive or Fly, That is the Question.

depends on who you are and what you plan on doing. we do not venture outside disney property when we go so the plane makes sense. we get in that 'bubble' and stay there until the bus takes us to the airport. personally i would not want to lose a full day or so traveling by car. i would also...

"Last Night at WDW" - What to do when MK isn't an option...

i believe there is a great view of the fireworks from the beach at the polynesian. i've never stayed there but heard great things about it. do a dinner there (they have a show/dinner called Spirit of Aloha) and stay for dessert and the fireworks. probably a fairly cost effective way of making a...

Trip Report THE November ('14) Engagement Trip

thanks. The wedding thing. We did kick that around and did the homework. We looked into doing the ceremony at the Wilderness Lodge. It was for a very small group and the view looked incredible in the photos. It was the number 2 option for a while, but our first choice of location (which is...
