    Extension to TiW?

I was told on the phone that the extension is March 16 - July 11, so I calculate that as at least 117 days. However, they have not come out with the full process of this and this should be extended even more, as well as a bigger refund option. It's not fair to say you're open when not everyone...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I agree, it seems greedy to keep the prices the same. And we paid $1100 and then 40 days later Disney closed. Disney just thinks it's fair to extend the days, but it's a little too high risk for us to go.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

We called the VIPassholder # and somehow got resort reservations. Then we got put on hold and had to hang up. Still wondering what the refund will be. We are only 40 days into our passes before they closed, so would that mean we get 10 months worth of a refund?

    News New Park Hours...

Has anyone who started their AP in Jan/Feb asked about getting a 10 month refund or should I expect to lose that money? There's no way I want to go in this mess. We will re-purchase next year.

Should certain groups be given priority to attend the parks?

I know ex-healthcare workers who are going on flights and cruises as soon as they can. However, they are wearing N95 masks and hoping that everyone gets tested before getting on the cruise ship. Businesses aren't being pressed to go that far though.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I agree with you 100%! Most people are just going to assume the government is looking out for people, and I don't think that's the case. It's just normal business people making this stuff up. I don't think any MD would recommend going to Disney. I also think it's a free country though and if...

Any good characters doing this? Feels like First Order is too close to real life!

Just because it's open, doesn't mean it's safe to go. Are they going to give full refunds for season passes (April through Jan) even though it's half open?

Should certain groups be given priority to attend the parks?

I voted equal chance, but I don't actually want in! I'm waiting to see what the season pass refunds will be. We will rebook in 2021.

    WDW Reopening Estimates

There's a possibly that opening does not mean it stays open. If the "health officials" approve the opening plan, is there some way to reverse the decision if the # of daily cases rises? Also, no one is really going to be tracking WHERE they got infected, so even looking at local cases, we'd have...

I'd be less worried about the levers and more worried about the amount of saliva coming from the elephant in front of you. That's not rain you're feeling on your face.

News Disney names D’Amaro as Chairman Disney Parks Experiences and Products

Serious question, how can someone outside of Disney really judge the leadership ability of the executives? Are there books and private accounts posted anywhere? All I ever see them do is put on fake smiles and give prepared speeches. When they are asked questions, it's all canned responses...

News Disney Springs Begins Phased Reopening on May 20

This photo sums up how distancing and mask wearing will work at Disney. You can't hire enough CM's to enforce it. Individually we can stay 6 feet away from the person in front of us, but there's really no way to keep the people behind you 6ft away. People generally don't know what 6ft means. In...

Ya that's assuming half the people even follow that rule. People will have to lower their masks to spit out their orders and yell at their kids. I would do some sort of take out and eat outside away from people, but the Gestapo will probably see me and stop me.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

So this misleading headline is exactly the reason Disney fans need to start separating Disney Springs from Disney World! :P If you don't want to give Jacob the clicks, it's just rehashing everything that is known and he has no clue when it will actually open. Walt Disney World will start to...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Being a passholder, I have the opposite view. We certainly don't mind missing half the attractions since we go all the time, but I'm fairly certain there will be longer waits for everything. We have two 4-night reservations for Sept and Dec. I'm expecting park hopping and resort hopping to be...

    Upcoming trip survey

For a survey to be statistically valid, it only needs to be sent out to a small percentage of people picked at random. The data gathered is surprisingly accurate to just a few percentage points. It does however seem strange they don't contact passholders or people with room reservations directly.
