Actually audible LOL'd on the train reading that. George was far too happy to have Mickey and the gang pretend to be evil Vader and jedi. Kathleen... She actually respects her own work and that franchise.

I just want to say again how much I like Jack Dorsey and his involvement with the company. He is constantly posting quotes of Walt and pictures of Walt but I think this tweet he replied to sums Jack up: Edit: I like this one too...

At work we have $121 by year end as the current target.

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

It did look interesting. The ads they ran on TV for it seemed like a movie and one I might go see.

Yup, Jay will be fine... He can either retire happily or find another high ranking job in a Fortune 500 company.

Right but in my opinion Disney in particular has areas to grow organically. Perhaps you agree, perhaps you don't.

I didn't say buybacks, but I can see why you thought I meant that. Homemade dividends I simply selling shares. I want the company putting money into their business not buybacks. Also note to the wise don't sell your shares in a buyback... At the very least wait until after.

You and @Jlasoon are in luck, Fannie and Freddie started offering 97% LTV again... There are major finance/banking CEOs already positioning their firms for the next crisis which they believe is coming.

I prefer the company invest excess cash into the company for organic growth and if I want cash flows as an investor I can sell some shares to create what is called homemade dividends. Dividends say to me that the company didn't have any better alternative for that money.

I wonder what the apparently large budget means for the other parks? Perhaps they all get something to address some concerns?

Common practice and common courtesy. Michael Bloomberg was very down to earth and nice. Played golf with him and it was nice to hear him act like me when he missed a putt.

ESPN is a monster money maker for TWDC. They get the most money out of their media networks segment, with ESPN being the strongest component. Interactive is their smallest but as of FY2014 it was very successful given how little it costs. Most of the Interactive unit is licensed out to third...

I would personally like to see Disney poach someone from a mid-major studio to do some WDS work and put Kathleen in charge of the company as CEO and Chairman (Chairwoman?) with someone like Matt Ouimet as President and COO. I would keep John Lasseter and Ed Catmull in their current positions...

Jay and Tom are finance guys and are very versed in that area. Jay is a JPMorgan Chase alumnus (just Chase back then) and Tom is Morgan Stanley alumnus. They are good at M&A and cutting costs. Sometimes you can have way too much of that and we have reached the peak here with Disney. That being...

Iger wasn't a part of strategic planning. He was a weatherman then went up the ranks of production to head of ABC. After the merger he worked in that role and eventually was made President and COO under Michael. Tom however was part of strategic planning and Michael had the highest of praise...
