Trip Report Our (slightly) Unexpected Disney World Trip

About the time we landed back on Earth Jennifer had arrived and we met up in Canada. We were taking things slower this day, so we just explored the pavilion for a while. I really like this pavilion. We were excited because this was the day we were finally going to see Samantha in her...

Trip Report This all seems very familiar. The loco spring 22’ TR! - COMPLETE

Can't wait to see the rest of your trip. How's Old Key West? I've always been very curious about it, but never had the opportunity to stay there.

    Best 3D/4D Film

I chose Muppets because it’s always consistently funny, no matter how many times I’ve seen the same gags.

    Jungle Cruise vs Kilimanjaro Safaris

Love them both, but I’ll give the win to Kilimanjaro Safari. Can’t beat the live animals, and the immersion is near perfect. Jungle Cruise is excellent for what it is: a tongue in cheek spoof of a Safari. But sometimes you really want the real Safari. ( or the illusion of a real one.)

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run vs Star Tours - The Adventures Continue

This one was a little tough to choose. I’ve always liked Star Tours and the random factor with the different scenes adds a lot. However, I have to give points to Smugglers Run for putting me into the Millennium Falcon. This immersion- in fact the entire queue- adds so much to the overall...

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train vs Space Mountain

I’m enjoying these simple polls that basically just celebrate the fun of Disney. That said, I approached this from the point of view of what I personally look for in an attraction. I may be in the minority here, but even with roller coasters, I don’t look for the biggest, wildest, scariest...

Trip Report Our (slightly) Unexpected Disney World Trip

So, when we got to Space 220, the very nice cast member there told us there was absolutely NO WAY we could get a table without a reservation. I have to admit I wasn’t surprised. But what about just being in the lounge? No dice! Buuuuuuuuuut…….. We were told we could wait in line for about an...

Trip Report Our (slightly) Unexpected Disney World Trip

To continue: Magic Kingdom was a good, long day! But that brought us to our last full park day. ☹️ Since we live in California with Disneyland about an hour away, we decided our final day, and the only park we did twice would be Epcot. It’s always been a favorite of ours, anyway so it wasn’t...

Avatar Flight of Passage vs Soarin' Around the World

While FOP is an amazing ride, and wonderfully done, I voted for Soaring because I can ride it without getting motion sick. However, if that wasn't an issue, I might have answered differently.

    Resort Hopping 2022

I was in WDW from April 9-15. Definitely did a lot of resort hopping, and NEVER had a problem. (Check out my trip report and see for yourself.)

    ABCs around WDW!

H is obviously for Haunted Mansion, the best attraction in Magic Kingdom. I is next!

This is just a perfect photo of Main Street. This could be on a Disney brochure cover.

    This gives me hope. Thanks.

“sold out” compared to previous “sold out” numbers

I have no idea what the maximum numbers are. However, I was just at WDW a couple weeks ago, when all four parks were supposedly at full capacity. There certainly weren't any reservations to be had. I have been to Magic Kingdom (all the other parks, really) when they seemed a Hell of a lot more...

Trip Report Our (slightly) Unexpected Disney World Trip

Thanks for the kind words about my brother-in-law. He's a good guy, and a lot more like my brother than my biological brother. I know from experience that now he has to go through a huge adjustment. Healthy food and exercise now dominate his future plans.

    Pre-Trip Wait, What?

I've got two daughters, 19 and 17, and sometimes the two of them are like World War III. Your comment makes me hopeful that things can get better between them.

Trip Report Our (slightly) Unexpected Disney World Trip

Just in case there's anybody anywhere who may actually be following this, I'm not done yet. When we left Disney we were just smacked in the face by Reality Land. Around the time of my last entry my wife's brother - one of my best friends - had a heart attack and we've been trying to be available...

Trip Report Land & Sea - Baja Style! - Complete

I suffer from sea sickness and it is the WORST feeling. Especially when it interferes with something you really want to enjoy! I did manage to go whale watching in Hawaii and I have to say it was an incredible experience. Words can't adequately describe it. Like you, we saw the whales...
