News Test Track to be reimagined

Energy was basically multiple activities all in one though - the pre-show with the awesome Radok blocks, a film while in the theater, then the ride. Kind of like the Seas, it was a fully fleshed out pavilion but was presented in a more linear fashion of the experience. Personally, I think...

News Test Track to be reimagined

The ride they messed up on was not keeping original Imagination. That one was a timeless classic that would have survived the test of time with just upkeep. It was the most distinctive of the classic FW rides too and the one that avoided the "sameness" of the other rides with their history...

News Test Track to be reimagined

One thing though that I will say about classic Epcot is that the actually had pavilions - areas with multiple related activities. While I think the rides needed to have some better variety of experiences, they should still have more robust and cohesive pavilions. No reason why M:S couldn’t have...

News Test Track to be reimagined

People who enjoyed those kinds of rides loved original Epcot. Just like people who love roller coasters might be obsessed with Cedar Point. The problem is that many other guests got bored by the "sameness" of a lot of the rides and the didactic/lecturing tone of many of them. While there was...

News Test Track to be reimagined

WoM was fantastic but it definitely suffered from “all the rides in FW are too similar”. In isolation they were all great but that part of the park needed more variety (they started that process with Body Wars but it wasn’t that great of a ride). I agree with you that having the pavilion be a...

News Test Track to be reimagined

IMHO it was better than Horizons. The biggest thing though is that WoM got a great - albeit very different- replacement so it softened the blow of losing a great ride. Also Epcot needed something with more thrill at that point.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It really would be sad if they wouldn’t add at least one or two smaller enclosures. I mean this is a brand new continent should have some actual live animal representation

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

What is this building which I circled in red? It is there now and has a path still leading to it in the "after" drawing. Is it just a backstage building of some sort?

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

There's still the wide central pathway. Is that not going to be a way to approach the building and you would have to go to the right (when facing the ride) to go to the queue?

News Disney's Hollywood Studios Adjusts Morning Entry Procedure - October 2024

So I'm sorry but still not clear: is Star Tours operating for Early Entry? And, if so, do they check at the ride entrance like they do for MMRR?

News Disney's Hollywood Studios Adjusts Morning Entry Procedure - October 2024

So in addition to the "rope drop" checkpoints for early entry, they also scan for being a resort guest separately for MMRR? Is Star Tours open early and, if so, do they scan there too (or is the check;point before the ride)?

News Disney plans to reboot Voyage of the Little Mermaid stage show at Disney's Hollywood Studios

There's also a CM cafeteria attached there so I would think using both Disney Jr and that food service to be combined into a new guest used Harryhausens makes a lot of sense.

News Disney plans to reboot Voyage of the Little Mermaid stage show at Disney's Hollywood Studios

My suggestion has been to have those combined with Pixar Place and call that area "Animation Alley". Not a lot of substance, but seems a reasonable enough name and then Animation Courtyard goes away to be part of Monstropolis.

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

I don't know the dynamics that well for some of this stuff but when they announced Lighthouse Point I thought they might make that into a more substantial offering including perhaps a more robust water park and maybe even an actual resort (DVC?) on the island. Since it is actually located on a...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

They still don't broadcast the Simpsons episode with him IIRC. So it would be an odd pivot to bring back EO in some form, unless it is without MJ which IMHO would be pointless.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

And honestly WS needs more rides and that basically the "dead zone" where they need more stuff to do around the loop. I would definitely target Germany or Italy as the best location for a WS ride if you want to invest money in Epcot in the short term.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The one consoling factor to me in this regard is that it seems like the entire push for Tiana was all about the IP (both getting rid and putting in) and not really the point of "we can do better than what is there". I realize this seems to be a superficially similar situation but the premise is...
