News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The boneyard is the only thing about this that I find tragic, because it's the last of the great "burn energy" spaces that WDW had. Huge playgrounds do serve a good purpose and it's sad that they are going extinct

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I think the bigger issue is Disney has just given up on Dinosaurs. Jurassic Park has the teens/adults and there is now a swath of children's programming and games set within that franchise that is very popular. It's now an all ages IP. With the IP mandate in place, Disney has no way to really...

I love it too, but I've seen so many traumatized kids come out of it. A theater show can eat up crowds if kids and families have interest in it. I don't like zootopia going there, but replacing the bugs is an idea I can get behind.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

A lateral move in terms of capacity would be something like Winnie the Pooh taking over Mr. Toad or Guardians replacing Ellen, or RR replacing Great Movie Ride The Encanto attraction is new capacity as far as Dak operations are concerned. Even if you don't discount Primeval, that ride still was...

Or a shift in philosophy at the top, which is possible. Just not under Iger. Thought the latest D23 was at least a shift in the right direction. No clones, same ip but different concepts is a small improvement

DCL Buys Unfinished Mega Cruise Ship - Genting Golden Dream ???

I think there are probably tons of limiting factors here, considering these spaces were already built. They are stuck with what looks to be heavy rethemes rather than layout changes

If anything, expect a logo change at some point. Once Dinoland is done converting. I could see a banshee out front and a Yeti to replace the dragon/dino in any logo based stuff The did joke about the logo stuff at D23

No big deal! Right now, I'm leaning omnimover over trackless. Though the art kinda reminds me of Figment more than something like spaceship earth. Given the model and what has been said about the ride, they might go omni over trackless to avoid needing elevators to change elevation.

I think the lion king ride will be a Tron situation where it'll be completed in Paris first and then announced to start building following the completion of the Tropical America's area. Unless ppl hate the ride or something. Just shift the crews and utilize the new construction trailer...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I'm guessing it's possible that Dinosaur will stay open until Zootopia opens. Or close to it. 16 months is generally the timeline on reskins recently so they might leave it open longer than we think and do all the other work until then. It's also possible they add extra showtimes to the shows...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I've heard they have extra security, that you don't see, at hall of president's. Cause this country hates itself(no matter who you vote for) and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney wants to wash it's hands of the Hall. The show in epcot is better and as of now, less controversial

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

From everything I've heard, not doing any of this and just building the land in the space will be cheaper. I don't know if it should be, but technically this is the cheaper option I think.

I was curious what the difference was. So I looked on Google earth at both from the same height. Wow, even I didn't really realize the difference. I think a restaurant is totally out of the question unless you park it and attach a building to it and it becomes a facade, Essentially

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Id be all for some more fountains, but all that sounds like redoing the infrastructure anyway without solving the crowd flow issues or the issue of resurfacing the riverbed. And throwing random fountains in the RoA between the island and frontierland doesn't exactly seem like a really cohesive...

Paddlefish is definitely bigger. Probably more than twice the mass. I also don't even think it moves. If they ever did that DVC resort on the River Country plot, the boat could be utilized there if it was gutted and parked. Right now it's not really re-workable as anything but a gift shop with...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

If every park was operated by them, the world would be better. It's been an ongoing trend that other companies/creative seem to know what do do with Disney IP better than Disney currently does.
