The Anaheim Living Wage Initiative and other Disneyland Resort issues that deal with Anaheim Politics

Once again, the agreement for the DLR zone had to be approved by all property owners included in the zone. Since Disney was hoping to maybe buy the properties in the future, and the non-Disney owners agreed, as they got some more flexibility, all parties agreed. For example, it allowed the...

    Disneyland 3rd park Discussion

OK, the reason for more parks is to drive the on-site lodging and dining. And to keep the guests away from the competition. Michael Eisner rushed and underdelivered MGM Studios in reaction to Universal Studios Orlando. He also wanted to turn Disneyland into an uber hip resort in La La Land...

    Line jumpers

Agreed, while the rulesstate when a person leaves the line, they give up their space, even when others in their group leaves. Most folks understand a young one with a guardian going to the restroom and coming back. And why the Six Flags numbering works, you return to the space you started with...

    Line jumpers

Line Jumping bothers enough people at Theme/Amusements parks that multiple cities have passed laws against it. So that allows parks to call the police, and have trespass noticed read to them, and if they try again, actual civil penalties. As pointed out, Six Flags actively looks for them, and...

    Cleo Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

The back side of the structure, near Walnut didn't look very finished when I drove by it on Monday, looks at least 2 stories short. That said, it is a parking structure, and once the concrete structure is complete, well then, painting lines and adding signage is easily done. Now, the...

    Disney Parks to Ban Straws

Of course, this is just a politically correct image thing, something that some California Residents care about. In reality, it won't change a thing, and actually does harm to some individuals, and removes convivence to many others.

    Disneyland 3rd park Discussion

For the most part yes, and why talks by fans go to the Toy Story Lot or Garden Grove, and now the very slight possibility of the Angel Stadium property. But in reality, Disneyland Park is built out, and anything new will replace something else. One discussion is moving more backstage facilities...

A 4th and maybe a 5th or 6th Hotel will probably happen with ground breaking 10 years from now. And it won't be the design they shared earlier this year. A modified location for sure. So never say never. But no way for at least 4 or 5 years, and that is highly unlikely.

The Anaheim Living Wage Initiative and other Disneyland Resort issues that deal with Anaheim Politics

To look at a Hotel Project, you have to look at all the costs from the project, and to run them. It is a lot easier to build in Florida, less red tape and costs,, and less to operate on a daily basis. So while you might be able to charge more in Anaheim, in reality the Florida Hotels can bring...

    Disney Parks to Ban Straws

I got a paper one recently and didn't like it. It was not very solid, and wouldn't want another. I will play my ADA card if needed in the future, due to my limited hand skills. And a trip and fall accident to a human is much more important if I spill my drink on the floor.

The Anaheim Living Wage Initiative and other Disneyland Resort issues that deal with Anaheim Politics

Disney is focusing 100% on the two parks at the DLR currently, and there is no plans to do any major work on the 3 current Hotels, and absolutely no plans for a 4th. That is partly due to politics, so Disney keeps it word when it said no 4th Hotel earlier this year. The best chance is the...
