Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Yes, that is what I was originally curious about. How many of us, Disney loyalists, who, many years ago booked hotels, but now use points to stay instead, has made an impact on resort bookings? Have they robbed Peter to pay Paul? The resorts became the best part of a Disney vacation and I hope...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

This is interesting, it appears then that they go hand in hand. I would have guessed the opposite. Is this analysis DVC rooms booked with points or cash?

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Does anyone know how much impact DVC has on hotel bookings? Before we bought our points, we were traveling with friends and family and booking hotels rooms. Port Orleans was our favorite place to stay, but we haven't stayed there in many years.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

We are at a stage in life with plenty of disposable income and stay at plenty of nice places. Disney isn't our only vacation destination. Disney has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. Being a Florida resident, I have been to the parks through it's various stages, as well as mine...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

This is what our family is doing. We love the ambiance of the different resorts and take advantage of the activities each one offers, especially as we have gotten older. The cost of the tickets to enter the theme parks is outrageous, especially since there is nothing new to see. I realize that...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Thank you. I hope that is enough for the resort. I found it difficult to find a space at VGF when we stayed last time and had to park in the main lot. It made for a long hike back to the room.

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Where will the parking be for this resort? From the video it doesn't look like there will be enough room for a parking lot

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I was at Disney this past weekend and finally got to see Luminous in person. I thought it was okay. The fireworks were impressive, but the music was not memorable. I think the music from Harmonious was better, I just hated the permanent structures and the chaos of the show. I really wanted to...

    Running SeaWorld

This looks like a very enjoyable race. I am already coming down for the Springtime Surprise weekend, so I can't run both. Hopefully, they will have it again next year and give those of us who are out of state a little more time for planning.

    GNSOAT Poll: Epcot

The music from RoE is what makes it superior from all other nighttime shows. I listen to it occasionally in the car and it still gives me goosebumps and makes me teary eyed.

Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

If you are a Poirot fan, then you should check out Britbox streaming service. They have all the old episodes, plus a ton of other great British mystery series. Death in Paradise and Vera are must sees!

Struggling with anxiety over leaving children and considering cancelling WDW - help?

I can empathize with your anxiety, and as others have noted, the first time you leave the kids is the hardest. But, it is important to couples to have the alone time to reconnect. I think eight days is long, for all parties involved. I would try four days/ three nights. I hope that you have...

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I think because they targeted the show to kids is why it was so poorly received. Maybe Disney thought that it would help keep families in the park after dark. But then it kept the adults from staying. My group of adults saw it for the first time over Thanksgiving weekend. We walked away thinking...

News Walt Disney World introduces new Disney Weekday Magic Ticket

As an example, I am meeting family in the spring to use up some DVC points. We love the Flower and Garden festival and usually spend a day there. However, I am tired of the walls being up in Epcot, so we have decided to go to Sea World instead.

New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

As a DVC owner whose home resort is the Boardwalk, I am very happy with the umbrellas. There were few covered places to eat along the Boardwalk area, which made it unpleasant. This is an improvement. The Sundries shop was next to the check in area, it didn’t really carry groceries, but it did...

News Holiday crowds at Walt Disney World theme parks 2022

Yes, the lion dancer was there when we went Thanksgiving weekend. The performance was short, but sweet.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

Jungle Cruise is a must do for my family when we visit MK. We have a one day ticket to visit Epcot this holiday season and are considering adding a park hopper just to ride Jingle Cruise. It’s such a great addition to the holiday happenings!

Price Hikes Galore! (Genie+ variable pricing, ILL, refillable mugs, SWGE lightsaber and droids)

We love to stay around the Waynesville, NC area. There is easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, close to Asheville, tubing down Deep Creek in Bryson City, and Waynesville has a nice Main Street with cute shops.

New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

This is one of my favorite small spaces as well. I think it would help if they add more greenery and accent pieces. The space looks unfinished and visually uninteresting.
