Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Even though it has been a few years, I still can't get used to grocery/staple inflation. I can not believe what the total comes to when I check out at the grocery store, Walmart or Target. The cost vs. what I see in my cart is a massive disconnect. We've always done efficient grocery shopping...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

As a passholder for two decades not only won't I buy Genie+ on every visit, I won't buy it on ANY visit. I've experienced every attraction in the parks and the ones that I like I have experienced dozens or hundreds of times. Each visit I just need a few experiences each day to get value and...

    What’s Really Happened to Imgaineering?

It's hard to be creative when they are pigeonholed by basing things on IP.

News Test Track to be reimagined

It can't be perfect unless they bring back Kitchen Kabaret.

New Evolv AI security scanners & bag-check procedures implemented at the parks

I wouldn't let that remote possibility ruin the magic. I'm sure that since WDW opened hundreds of thousands of firearms have gone through the gates and there's never been an incident. A much bigger risk is a road rage shooting on the way to WDW and even that is extremely rare. The security is...

News Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closing for refurbishment in January 2024

How does an indoor, off the shelf, rollercoaster have such complicated problems? Does the outdoor one that RNRC was cloned from have this many issues?

News Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closing for refurbishment in January 2024

The music industry was A LOT different in the 70s. Not only did it predate the Internet it predated cassette tapes. It could take a while back then to be discovered by a record company executive. Until discovery, hands would just play small shows that were often promoted by putting up flyers...

Rumor Higher Speed Rail from MCO to Disney World

Aren't there noise walls in place? I think they got installed with the widening project. If you don't want traffic noise then don't buy a house next to a highway. Planes fly over my house at about 3,000 feet all day every day. I knew the house I bought was going to have air traffic above...

    Disney, VR/AR, and Apple's WWDC 2023

I don't know how soon that will be possible while still making a profit on it. For the product to perform as well as it does requires expensive technology. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is $1,200. I don't think it is possible to make a vision pro for only 50% more and turn a profit. I would think...

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Maybe somebody can modify a scooter with a platform and control column extension.

Segway scooter? Would that work so he could stand but not have to walk?

And I'm sure that very dark sunglasses like the ones they give you at the optometrist after they dilate your eyes would solve any discomfort.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Well, I don't know the internal goals of DAS but the goal of the ADA is to accommodate people who can't ACCESS attractions due to a disability, not that they can't "enjoy" them (using the definition of the word that means have fun/have a good time). My legs or back can get sore if I spend...

You should try and get her legal opinion on DAS as it would be helpful for this discussion!

The dishonest ones steal a lot more than $10. I've overheard the monitors at Target and Home Depot discussing people who they discovered walked out with several hundred dollars worth of stuff.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Not to go to far off topic but I have no idea how self checkout can possibly be cost effective for retailers. I would think that a lot more stuff per hour walks out the door than the cost of having cashiers. The only way you can possibly control it is with very sophisticated AI monitoring with...

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Unless they replace the DAS slots in LL with Genie+/ILL. Then the standby line will move at the same speed but have a few more people in it.

New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I agree 100% which is why accommodations should be made based on each case for developmental disabilities. Just being diagnosed with "autism" doesn't mean someone requires accommodations. Some autistic people absolutely do.
