I have been 3 times since it was revamped. The food and cocktails are much improved. Some of the better dishes on property now. In the running for the best bread too. We had stopped going to Narcoossee's 10 or more years ago. I think they greatly improved the decor as well. It is back on a list...
This is is the tale of Disney's current and midrange problems in a nut shell. Until they change this formula they will have problems. Really sad and it was so predictable . Disney needs a board that UNDERSTANDS what Diseny's real core strengths are and what made it successful and nurtures that path.
There is a reasonable hope that Disney increases Capex in WDW based on Wall Street's current view that the parks division is the more consistent earner and warrants more investment. What that increased level actually equals is anyone's guess.
The rooms are very nice and large. But the common area's and the facade are mid level Marriott and too small. It is foolish and sad that Disney will never build a Wilderness lodge or Animal Kingdom lodge again. They no longer know what the Disney difference is or care.
You are so right. Disney management doesn’t seem to realize they are not replacing the Nostalgic prime customers to replace those aging out or passing away. They really need 4 rides on each of the 4 parks in WDW and a refurb of at least 5. This 17 billion needs to be cap ex and front loaded...
I think a case could be made by Disney to Waalstreet for ride expansion based on ILL revenue. They could recoup much of the cost of new rides in 2 years with ILL , then rinse and repeat. They will need to respond to Epic soon due to lead times. They also have a horrible capacity problem in 3 of...
You should buy a glass of Champagne from the shop next to the theater and try viewing Impressions next visit , you may be pleasantly surprised. ( if they move it back to evening showtimes )
I always think the same thing. I have taken trips and have another planned to see many of the places shown. This is by design. It is a travelog film for France.
Some years back the Director and music arranger for the film gave a interview relaying how a couple wrote him about seeing the film...
I love this film. The musical sound track is magic. Just some fun facts. It is the worlds longest running film in the same theater , running every day since October 1st 1982. It is the first full digital soundtrack for a film. It is estimated to have been viewed by over 24 million people.
I have eaten Monsieur Paul twice in the past. Both times we came away feeling the food was good/fine but limited and the service inattentive/inexperienced. It was not something we would repeat in that form, at that price. The room was half full both times at $119 per person, I am wondering how...
Well my family loved the ride. ( the wife found it too intense) We rode it every day of our trip a month ago. My criticism centers around how much they ultimately spent to build the ride. 500 Million!! Disney seems by all reports to spend more and take longer than their competitors to build...
My getting on a WDW ride faster than you doesn't impinge on your ride experience either. While not perfectly analogous in both the plane and the ride getting on faster is better. Security lines can be far longer than 30 minutes at times. Sitting with a drink is clearly a upgrade to standing in...
You are being a little obtuse on this subject. When I pay for Global Entry or Clear to use a faster line at Airport security, have I stolen your time??
I totally agree. I personally have kept enjoying the parks because of my children and now my first grand child. Going with my grandson has reordered my priorities enough to make me happy, for now. I have never complained about Disney pricing in 26 years of going to WDW, my issues are the...
You don't have to stay with Disney to book a VIP tour. I was just relating how many of the people I have met doing 4 -5 days of vip tours tend to travel. Most groups I meet are way under 10, 4-6 seems the norm. This is all anecdotal , based on my own observations and talking to people.
