While Indy didn’t do great at the box office, the Indy franchise preforms exceptionally well on streaming services, which is why it bombing at theaters wouldnt change a thing. Its the same for Encanto, which bombed horribly In theaters but did great in streaming and is as well going to take a...
Nailed it. I’m glad it was made, flop or not the Indy movies are doing incredibly well on Disney+ as said by Iger, so ignoring the whole franchise would be a mistake. The new film only reminded Disney that they own the Indy franchise, so I welcome that for the parks
Ironic since I don’t even like a lot of the new things lucasfilm pops out with. Hated the sequel trilogy but I admit that Indy 5 was pretty good, and the lies of Helena replacing him were all made up by doomcock. A known liar who creates drama and fake news for money.
See I agree with you there, im also of the opinion that we need new leadership from top to bottom. Not just at lucasfilm, but a new Disney ceo who knows how to steer the ship in a better direction.
I think the biggest Star Wars success, despite what anyone thinks, were Force Awakens, Rogue One...
It’s the bloated budget for sure, which was mostly due to Harrison’s injury, and shooting in real locations which cough up a lot of money. I was happy with the end result but I know Bobs gotta be disgruntled in general. That and haunted mansions loss. And then whatever else flops for the rest of...
It sucks cause it should’ve made more since it was one of the few good Disney movies of this year imo. Though I doubt it’ll really hurt much of the Indy side of things. This is meant to be the last one, and Disney never really touches the Indy franchise for anything
I wish it would’ve made more...
The majority of the movie going audience really enjoyed this film as compared to TLJ, so no. Dial of Destiny is a great film. Try to see it without thinking about TLJ the whole time. This is Indiana Jones, not Star Wars
Nah, I totally disagree on this take. The new Indy movie was pretty good and Dial didn’t do anything ridiculous or over the top with his character. Plus they ended his story on a good note. My opinion on current lucasfilm is low, but I really appreciated this movie and left pretty satisfied.
Pirates is the best example of the whole unnecessary breakdown you did, of how you can turn a ride of an original IP from the parks into a highly successful franchise that everyone’s familiar with.
Why do
Why don’t we get big figures like this anymore? It’s incredible how there’s not even a statue of the Fab 5 available to purchase at Walt Disney World, let alone for its 50th. Did they run out of ideas? It’s Mickey Mouse for god sakes.
