News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Tbh, I love the Indy ride and I’ve wanted it for 20+ years so I’m okay with it ultimately haha. I would be excited since I almost never get to Disneyland vs WDW.

Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

Well since all they’re doing is telling us they’re “considering” this blue sky idea… they could switch it to anything else at any moment.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Encanto takes place in Colombia in the early to mid 20th century. So it could fit the timeline for Indy too. That whole area could be themed to somewhere between 1940-1950 ish.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Would it actually be cheap to clone Indy? Seems like it’s going to be pretty expensive no matter what they do, so it could be slightly tweaked like Tokyo. I think if they do clone it, the Tokyo version is more likely, simply because of its story of the Crystal skull fitting the South America...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I have wanted them to do Indy for 20 + years so I am perfectly fine with it. But if it’s South America themed it would be nice if it was designed to be its own thing like Disney Tokyo. I could easily see it being a temple that brings back a dinosaur in the big room through a time portal and...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

That’s a really great idea. But the concept art doesn’t seem to suggest a queue like that. … changing gears for a moment… I was looking at the show buildings for both and they don’t look like the same. Are they actually the same exactly? Also, how come Dinosaurs roof looks so rough? IJ’s...

Does anyone else feel the urgency to visit WDW at this point more than ever?

With the way their pricing has gone up but their guest experience has gone down it has really soured my opinion on the "magic" of the parks. I don't particularly feel a burning desire to go now since I've managed to experience all the new stuff they finally finished, including Tron. Now, if...

What a difference 20 Years makes at WDW

I think all the changes made to Hollywood Studios have been good. TBH, I like Toy Story/Star Wars and Mickey/Minnie way better. I know everyone is always complaining about capacity, but I think the park is a pretty great park now. The animation courtyard needs some work though. That could be...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

As cool as this starcruiser was in theory, I would have vastly preferred a Star Wars hotel that just looked like a crashed star destroyer or something. It could have been a similar vibe, just with less of a “show” to it to require so many actors on 24/7. Like this except not as damaged...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

I got what you said, I think you overestimate HP popularity in 2023. I believe they’ll both be huge draws but HP is losing ground as a huge IP the longer time goes on. No more books, bad films and controversial statements from JkR have definitely put a damper on the IP. Nintendo is trending...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

I think the success of both the Mario movie and the Nintendo brand with Switch beg to differ. I’m a 39 year old dad with kids who love Nintendo. And so do I!

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

The Nintendo IP is going to be as big of a draw as HP. I haven’t heard anything other than rumors about Zelda, but I absolutely think a Zelda land would be huge. Themed around Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom. In Tears, you essentially magically build vehicles you can ride. There’s...

News Haunted Mansion closing for short refurbishment in August 2023

The synergy is that there’s a movie based on the ride and they’re finally adding hatbox ghost. That’s it. The rest is just a refurb.

News Hatbox Ghost coming to Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion

Haunted mansion is my favorite ride, but again, if you see the movie… which is not that bad even if it bombed… it makes sense that you could see the hatbox ghost before the seance. It bothered me more before I saw the movie.

Exterior refurbishment at Star Tours in Disney's Hollywood Studios

I feel like they could just repurpose the simulators for a new ride in GE. I’m okay with letting go of Star Tours at this point.

News Hatbox Ghost coming to Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion

After seeing the movie, it makes perfect sense why they’d put him where they did and why he might appear before any other spirits do in the ride. Which has made me okay with it. I actually quite enjoyed the movie.

Exterior refurbishment at Star Tours in Disney's Hollywood Studios

It would be confusing for someone who didn’t understand what the park used to be like. It would just look unfinished haha.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think they should have focused more on green plants/waterfalls/etc. protruding through the existing architecture more. But I think the bigger issue is a lack of a musical score in the bg and/or more droids/aliens.

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Gaya is a bad idea haha. I think it would be good if they made it a band instead, like the cantina band. But if they can build the Toy Story table service they can build this one after the fact too. I think they could utilize some of the show ideas from starcruiser maybe.
