I actually think that’s part of the point. It is part of the attraction’s inherent intrigue. If there’s one entity that is difficult to give too much credit to, it’s Imagineering.
Not bait. These attractions were announced over four years ago and delayed multiple times - with the initial opening supposed to be in FY22.
All I’m saying is if the names were going to be this basic, you could have announced them at D23.
Ride and Go Seek and Hunny Hunt are PERFECT examples of...
Nah SM is incredibly creative because it creates mystery and curiosity. The idea of a mountain and space together fundamentally does not make sense based on what perceived understanding the audience has about space, so they don’t really know what they’re getting themselves into. It builds...
I’m just saying imagineering is just getting into a habit with naming things rather than coming up with names that are unique, thoughtful, and creative. Not everything needs to be the name of the character followed by Adventure or Journey.
Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou...
I’d agree if this wasn’t already becoming an all too common naming convention in the states. TDS and TDL have plenty of unique attraction names that are creative without losing meaning in translation.
Quite possibly some of the least imaginative attraction names to ever come out of WDI. A colossal disappointment for the time we’ve had to spend waiting on their reveals.
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
My guess is that there is an issue with the fact that Magic Kingdom's moat uses natural water whereas the international castle parks use lagoons with no connection to natural bodies of water. The water can be treated easily. There is likely some health concerns with spraying untreated Florida...
FOF is almost a decade old using 2 floats that are over 15 years old. It is absolutely not fine and time for it to get ready to go. No day parade should run longer than 10 years.
Dreaming Up only got 2 good years in at Tokyo and it's one of the most stunning things I've ever seen in a Disney...
At this point in time I am 99.999% certain a hand-me-down of Dreaming Up will be much better than anything new WDW is willing to shell out the money for.
It’s not the same icon. And for what it’s worth, every Disney app icon has a flag on the tallest turret of every castle – most of which don’t have them in real life.
I get the gripe about the clutter, though. It looks like a mirror of Tokyo’s now.
Actually they are correct – when you projection map onto a surface, the projections have to account for the color of the surface they are being projected onto. The colors you see on the castle may not be the actual colors that are being projected, for example.
HEA’s projections had to be...
WDW is 100% the company’s flagship theme park destination. The hierarchy on the Disney parks website and disney.com will tell you that.
Disneyland may be Mecca, but it is not the flagship. That’s like saying the tiny OG Starbucks in Seattle is the company’s flagship cafe. Original does not =...
Content-wise, I think Harmonious was a good 2-3 revisions away from being a perfect show. Had the show opened with more cohesive narrative moments between the sections like it had during the Disney+ special, I think it would have solved lots of issues about the lack of a defined story or...
And is "allegedly" restricted now to make it more manageable. AND the capacity of the park has not changed since 2016 till Tron. They were doing just fine managing a night parade and fireworks. The primary issue at hand was designing a fireworks show that was hub-centric to get the full effect...
Ah yes, the “ops logistical nightmare” that worked fine for 40 years.
As long as the first parade runs toward the Castle to fill the hub before fireworks and the last one runs to Main Street, crowd flow is manageable. Spectro did this well. MSEP just couldn’t for other logistical reasons.
Most people don’t realize it but Dinosaur IS an IP. Very loosely based, but an IP nonetheless. So it wouldn’t be an additional IP. Just a replacement of a current one.
