    Indiana Jones Land?

There's definitely a lot of 90s & even 00s kids that are fans. I'm one of them. It's definitely an aging franchise but it still has fans. As for the latter, Top Gun: Maverick is the best example of that. It even surpassed the quality of the first one by a lot, atleast IMO.

News Disney CFO Christine McCarthy says Disney will continue to focus on existing intellectual property for new park investments

We'll have to see what those plans actually are. If they're smart then Moana is just a ride in an island themed area. Zootopia seems like it's just that small area where Dinosaurs's at currently. Lands for either isn't wise unless they become these big franchises with the potential for tons of...

News Disney CFO Christine McCarthy says Disney will continue to focus on existing intellectual property for new park investments

I think you need a universe with tons of stories so that replacing rides is easier. Honestly, Potter could struggle with that in the future if they don't expand that franchise in ways that connect with people. Fantastic Beasts was a flop & the series is still just those original stories 25 years...

News Disney CFO Christine McCarthy says Disney will continue to focus on existing intellectual property for new park investments

This is lowkey disingenuous. I could hype up Pandora, Galaxy's Edge & Cosmic Rewind while going "Dohoho look at Universal adding Jimmy Fallon & Fast & Furious! They took down Shrek to push Minions more! Woody Woodpecker's gone for Dreamworks shilling!" Both have done fantastic things in recent...

News Disney CFO Christine McCarthy says Disney will continue to focus on existing intellectual property for new park investments

Guardians has the benefit of being a superhero franchise, which can potentially be evergreen (Spidey, Batman, Superman & X-Men for example). They just gotta keep producing comics, cartoons & games inbetween film series reboots to keep it in the public conscious. It's the animated movies that...

    Indiana Jones Land?

It really depends on what audiences think. Mario got AWFUL reviews, but the average moviegoer (myself included) thought it was pretty good & it destroyed the box office. But yeah, it's not looking good rn.

News Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closing for refurbishment in February 2023

Ugh, I hope not. That would be insane to do at DHS of all parks. Does anyone know how well the Electric Mayhem show is doing on D+? I really like what I've seen of it so far, it's made me very fond of the idea of the Mayhem moving into RNRC.

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

I desperately want more Indy at WDW, but Animal Kingdom isn't the place for it. That series has nothing to do with animals or even nature. The only reason it seems like it'd fit is because a lot of the locales of the movies fit in with AK's Africa & Asia. It'd fit in as well as Zootopia, aka...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's crazy they're not trying to top IOA's Jurassic Park land. I love that land & River Adventure; but the latter is starting to show its age, the land would too if it wasn't for Velocicoaster. There's not much more Universal could do there either because of how little land they have. Disney...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

It was always going to be a hard ride to keep relevant; the only true way to retain relevancy would be to rip it up every 2 decades or so & replace most of the show scenes. This is even harder nowadays where the film studios aren't as friendly with each other. I would've liked them to do that...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Forcing the Zootopia IP on some ride about seeing prehistoric animals would make the latter annoying & be a waste of using Zootopia in the parks. If they actually cared about making a Zootopia ride educational, they'd just make it about all the different biomes in the city & relate that to their...

    Indiana Jones Land?

Is there a chance he's been hired to make some pieces as a show of concept to help get something greenlit? Which could still be for Moana tbh.

    Indiana Jones Land?

I hope so. But I imagine Disney is waiting to see how Dial of Destiny before greenlighting any park projects. ...That isn't looking too good rn. 😞

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Hey hey hey, it's "but mostly Star Wars and Toy Story". Sorry but the current Dinosaur ride just being retooled to take place in the Zootopia universe would be awful. It'd be an insult to both the Dinosaur ride and Zootopia. Go full Dinos or full Zootopia, not a bizarre mishmash of both.

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Interesting. Hopefully they can use more of it for some animal exhibits & maybe another animal based show. Maybe something like "Feathered Friends" but with reptiles or fish?

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Is the back of house stuff here for animals or is it stuff that could be more easily moved? That's a good chunk of land that could be used for actual capacity additions instead of more rethemes.

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

I've been a huge fan of the MCU since day one (opening night of Iron Man, baby) & the quality has definitely gone downhill in the past 3 years. I think the biggest problem is that we don't really have a core group of characters to follow anymore. The first saga had us follow Iron Man, Cap...

News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

I won't start counting on the theatrical side performing well again until next year at the earliest. Chapek & COVID severely screwed that side up. The difference in quality between what they were producing in the mid-late 2010s to now is insane. It's the quality gap from the Renaissance era to...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I'm not really familiar with what it'll look like on the outside. I don't think they'd change it in MK, but I imagine they could recreate the track layout or something similar.
