There’s never a valid reason for government to retaliate over free speech.
Let’s hope sanity returns to the FL government one day and it realizes this!
I've made peace with paying $15 pp for our trip in 2024. I don't think I can make peace with $29 though.
I know that's a "the parks are crazy crowded" price, so hopefully when we go it's still around $15 lol.
It's a simple example, not one to dive into the multitude of ratios and factors involved.
My point isn't about a company having to make due with no profits or even lower profits. It's the fact that they are "forced" to increase profits at an uneven rate just for the sake of ratio analysis.
It's one of my biggest gripes.
I don't think most people realize that it's not the "poor" company trying to cover their costs.
It's the "poor" corporation trying to manipulate ratios to inflate their worth and create wealth for 20% of the pop.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned.
A large issue today is the reliance and use of the stock market as the end all be all.
A lot of firms use ratios to determine investment strategy, which in turn can impact stock $.
Corporations have become laser focused on "creating shareholder...
It's entirely the wrong move.
They have a very strong 1A case and a chance at an important victory for others.
I hope they change their tune sooner than later and push back on this blatant over reach.
I think that's the "rub".
If they would have said nothing, and casually presented a bill to dissolve RCID, I don't think Disney has a 1A claim. At least not as strong of one.
But loudmouths gonna loudmouth.
My example had nothing to do with any of that.
My example was one of government taking over an operation of a private business as retaliation for an opinion that it didn't like.
Nothing more.
I believe your point, please correct me if I'm wrong here, is a frustration that if Chapek would have handled this in a different way, none of this would have happened. Its an overall frustration that Disney is in this fight.
I think though, that we need to put the blame on the situation where...
I believe the basis for the suit would be that the actions were in violation of the 1st amendment, not necessarily the makeup of the board.
The makeup of the board would come into play as Disney would have to show why this is negative for them, but IMO that would be pretty easy to do.
They...
I wonder though if not having the QS option at breakfast "forces" one who wants to eat there to do the expensive lunch/dinner option.
It's like the CFA closed on Sunday "debate".
Who knows? I can never accurately predict what they are going to do. I would hope that they would open it up for...
