So it’s a little tricky about price: DVC feels inexpensive, but my impression of the RP was that it was a good deal due to getting the Express Pass. Even considered getting a Universal Annual Pass as part of the deal. Definitely didn’t go in intentionally biased
The bridge to the lobby has...
I don’t know where you usually stay.
I’m a DVC member who stayed at the Royal Pacific at Universal (to get the free FP) and I was NOT impressed. Really cheap small rooms and the lobby was maybe as nice as a Marriott.
Never going to stay there again
Seems like a silly debate: either they’ve said they’re disappointed or they didn’t. If they didn’t then it’s pure conjecture.
Personally, I’d rather watch a good movie and be done with it than try to keep up with a series but that’s just my house
How about the obvious big win: if you don’t like Guardians, you haven’t ridden it.
Sure we lost Energy, but as much as I wanted to like it since childhood, it really wasn’t that great
My thought is that they could have more character interactions, but want to preserve that level of quality for their $$$$ experience. So SW:GE loses out
We were there in July this year. We only had one day for DLP and took the train straight from the Arc de Triomphe to the parks and back. It’s so well done for the visitors from Paris - much better than the domestic parks.
On a Sunday without purchasing any Premier Access we were able to ride...
That’s honestly a great point. I suppose you could say that limited supply creates demand but it could easily be twice as big and meet demand.
I continue to wonder if WDW (and maybe Disney Parks) continue to constrain SW:GE for the benefit of the Starcruiser
I'm still wish this were only happening on the West Coast, but I still would hope that they can do a great job with it...and then I look at what's happened to Pirates.
Maybe it's going to be great. And maybe they'll camouflage how out of place it will be. But seems pretty 50/50 to me as to...
Do you mean a “high-quality signature attraction” like RotR?
I agree it MF:SR would be significantly better with multiple missions but flying the MF is the right idea (what else would you do?)
So given that there are posters who say it’s full at t=0 and it should be 4s, I would expect they’re clicking in late (or have internet lag). Is there a benefit to start clicking refresh a few seconds before go or would you think we would end up in internet limbo doing so?
Or test ahead of time...
My recall of what’s happened there is twofold: sure the base ticket is more expensive but they really used to drop the price for subsequent days - not so much anymore
Agreed. I’m usually a pretty solid pixie-duster and I’m really disenfranchised. I don’t know anything of what’s going on internally but I expect they’re getting the message
That being said- this situation makes me optimistic that they’re going to work to improve things. Everyone’s impression...
We tried it. Started at Uni then moved to WDW to finish our trip.
I had never been happier to set foot on WDW property than that. Just relaxing at the resort simply felt sublime. I wouldn’t have needed to attend a park to enjoy myself more than I did at Universal (though Hagrids and...
Makes more sense. It was looking like JoW was just going to be a small loop constrained in the rounded area just beneath the purple in your photo (only about 30% of the cyan space)
Any clues how quickly ILL goes? If we’re *really* wanting to ride and staying at the resort, should one of us try for VQ while another works through purchasing ILL?
Or is ILL a matter of many minutes rather than a few seconds?
I hadn’t really consciously considered it, but this is about the longest stretch of no WDW since our 3rd COVID trip last summer and I’m still really not missing it. We didn’t see Epcot Forever and aren’t looking forward to Harmonious (and my kids hate the structures in the water). We’re not...
I’m not seeing any availability for Walt’s though and wondered if by phone could be more effective. Our date is 62 days out but looking at earlier dates.
Or is it that desirable?
