I think it is at least important to point out that Disney fully expected to have losses on Disney+ but also that it would reach profitability faster than competitors because it already had studios and an extensive and valuable back catalogue. D+ has actually beat expectations for many months...
If this was already discussed and I missed it then apologies, but could the route to the villain's not go between the IASW and HM show buildings so you are right on the boarder of happy and spooky as you "cross over"?
If Encanto and Coco need to come to MK put them in Adventureland and boot Aladdin and Swiss Family Robinson. Retheme the treehouse and Skipper Cantina for Encanto. Put COCO on the Adventureland expansion pad. Then loosely as you travel through Adventureland you come up through South America...
I was researching my situation (three rooms booked under my name) and how best to manage that with MDE since my name appears as the primary guest in multiple rooms. Some historical threads suggest that MDE does not do well in this situation and will screw up plans. Does anyone have direct...
I wish Marriott would put in a real pizzeria. They're losing business to that pizza window at BW and that window loses out on a ton of business because waits stack up to 45-60 minutes for grab and go. Leave it open late to service the bar crowds and the guests returning from the parks. I bet BW...
Idle speculation -- the board knows revelations about why he was fired are coming and wanted to make it clear the company took swift action with no daylight between leadership. Reads like a statement of confidence in the decision to fire. Not a statement in confidence for everything Bob C. has done.
We've given our vacation dollars to Legoland the last two summers. The ability to walk in with essentially zero planning and for the kids to be able to point to what they want to ride and get to ride it have been huge selling points.
We stayed on property at LL this time and it struck me that...
Yes, but then you are specifically asking lawmakers to shift future debt burdens from a private company to taxpayers. Now that the issue is widely understood and publicized I suspect that majority won't be quite as easy to find.
IMO - Yes, and it is likely the only salvo needed. This is pretty cut and dry. It could nullify the whole issue and/or keep the thing tied up in courts for years and years. Additionally, Disney likely won't be the lead plaintiff (or perhaps a named plaintiff at all) on lawsuits so it will be...
Local reporting suggests this will drive up property taxes by 20-25%. This will create a crisis both for the local governments and for property owners: https://www.wftv.com/news/local/end-reedy-creek-disney-wont-pay-more-taxes-you-will/3TK6ASNJT5EXHICW3DQ3ZHEZYA/
Disney is the largest taxpayer in Central Florida. NYT (via Disney's corporate disclosures) puts the 2021 tax bill at $780 million in state and local taxes -- and that doesn't even touch the spending/tax impacts of their employees. Also doesn't account for their PILOTS (Payments in Lieu of Taxes).
It targets 6 special districts. That isn't broad. That is just not caring if there is some collateral damage on the way to your target.
" If the bill is signed into law by DeSantis, Reedy Creek, along with five other special districts established before November 1968, would be dissolved...
Just going to toss out..... Disney has always been political. You might not care for this particular stance (fine), but to pretend like Disney has not been involved in issues and politics since its founding is just completely ahistorical.
