Tron construction is taking 2x as long as is standard
A division that creates just ideas is a cost center or simply R&D. In today's corporate environment, simple R&D, for sake of creating ideas, is not desirable as pure R&D is a negative on the quarterly P&L statement. WDI needs to offset cost with some tangible revenue.
Streaming cannot demand the price per eyeball as can theaters.
Customers do not want to pay the cost per viewable channel that bundles commanded.
The COGS of streaming needs to drop significantly if margin is to remain desireable.
If a company seeks to achieve a cultural change within the organization then promotes an internal candidate from within, their will be no cultural shift as the new leader/cultural change agent is a product of the original system.
What is needed as a DIS CEO is someone that does not insist on being the face of WDW but the leader of the multi faceted conglomerate that is DIS.
