News Bob Iger is back! Chapek is out!!

I mean, it did, and then they all left, one by one. I still think there are some long-term contenders inside the company, so if McCarthy were to have a shorter tenure as CEO, I don't think it's the worst thing. I don't imagine her having a long run as CEO, given her age. It'd also reward...

'Strange World' Disney's 2022 Animated Film

Different Buzz and apparently not. The Minions were the same as always and voiced by the same actor. I never mentioned Chris Evans, just Steve Carell. I absolutely believe Steve has more family trust than Chris, after multiple Despicable Me films. Captain America is a great hero, but...

'Strange World' Disney's 2022 Animated Film

Seeing some comparisons to Minions: The Rise of Gru. This movie is streaming on Peacock ($4.99 a month with ads). It released theatrically on July 1st and landed on Peacock September 23rd. So, less than three months after its theatrical release. Ironically, it also cost less to make at $80...

Stock market will be opening soon, it'll be fun to see how Wall Street reacts. I bet there'll be a spike at opening.

    Fantasmic Reopening Watch

How full was it? It seemed kind of last minute, informing people, so I'm curious how many rushed over. At least, I didn't know about it until today. I have the Pixie Dust pass, so it wasn't an option for me personally anyway, still curious how well attended it was.

News Tropical Storm Nicole impacts to Walt Disney World - November 2022

Love their satellite images. Looks like it's right on top of Freeport right now. Very closely following the track, which has been relatively consistent.

Hey Ap'ers, how does it feel to know you are a contingency plan?

I would not be among the most valued, in that case. I'm sure the bloggers will love it though. They'll definitely be the most valued in a recession.

Hey Ap'ers, how does it feel to know you are a contingency plan?

The best way for me to put it is that I don't plan to be the TP Disney will wipe their bottom with. If they want my business in the future, they'll have to earn it. Bridge has been burned.

News Tropical Storm Nicole impacts to Walt Disney World - November 2022

Depending on your situation, you can look at other airports like Tampa's. I don’t believe they've announced a closure yet. The hardest part is getting transit from there to Orlando, but it's doable. Honestly though, weather won't be too great on Friday either. Less bad, but it looks rainy...

News Tropical Storm Nicole impacts to Walt Disney World - November 2022

It's a pretty bizarre track. Can't think of a storm in the last decade that hit from the eastern side. We'll definitely have to watch this one. The good news is the rain predictions seem low. Showing a couple inches total over here. Could change, but at least it's not another Ian.

News Walt Disney World Christmas holidays 2022

Anyone know if they'll have lights in Living with the Land this year? We've come to really love it at night during the holidays.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

All someone has to do, if it's there, is photo graph it and let it circulate online as "proof it's still on". If it's not, it'd probably be promptly removed, because that's how Disney works. They're not ahead of the curve anymore.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

It could easily be that their source's desire is shielding the reality. This isn't their first speculation piece about Play! being canceled. Agree that a simple push down the project list makes sense for many reasons. It will not take a lot of money to get the building ready to open at this...

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

I'm with Disney on this one. If you haven't figured out a system that's been in place for over two years, that's on you at this point. The Incredi-Pass has more reservations than any other pass. If you can't get one for a date that you drastically care about, that's on you. Plan ahead, it's...

Price Hikes Galore! (Genie+ variable pricing, ILL, refillable mugs, SWGE lightsaber and droids)

I have a feeling that Genie+ will rarely be below $20 and probably hit $30 by the holidays.

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

Hope people have a great day tomorrow! All four parks open plus Disney Springs should make for a great day. Sunny, yet cooler temperatures tomorrow as well! Enjoy! Road into our neighborhood is two feet deep, so we probably won't head anywhere until Saturday. Won't chance it, even if...

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

They might, they might not. They would know. It's a weekday in September, so it's not a peak day. There's also a high likelihood that not everyone with a reservation made it to Florida. I'm sure they'll be taking a lot of things into account. Like I said, we'll see what they decide soon...

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

The reservation system was not in place in the past. They could possibly, and that's the emphasis, do things differently this time. They can keep it resort only or just honor people that had existing reservations. There's a lot of ways they can go about it. We'll find out very soon.

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

Controlling access is definitely going to be key to reopening. A lot of people are out from work and school tomorrow, so they will no doubt be careful who goes in. I don't expect them to just let everyone rush over in hope of a slower day.

Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

We made it OK, power still on and no damage. Very lucky this time, it seems. Irma did damage, so we're happy to not have any just five years later. Mortgage values are up from 2017, so filing a insurance claim would be significantly more expensive than it was then (deductible rates are...
