There’s a lot of joy to be found in Disney, and you don’t have to look hard for it. Some people seem to have lost sight of that.

OK, but how does repeatedly and gleefully posting variations on the same data get us any further in answering these questions? If anything, it stifles meaningful discussion of the topic.

I ask this in all sincerity: What are you hoping to achieve by reiterating the same point again and again, particularly when no-one here is denying that Strange World flopped?

At least you're not denying that that's what's going on here. It proves the point that we are just dealing with mockery rather than a sincere attempt at discussion.

Her criticism of the film is that it is homophobic, not that it has a gay character. I'm not sure what supposedly makes it homophobic, however.

It’s worth noting that Strange World (another film you refuse to watch) vividly portrays the attraction between Meridian—a strong woman by any measure—and her husband, Searcher.

I don’t agree with that characterisation, but it’s beside the point anyway. I think it’s pretty clear by now that Disney’s leading ladies are still allowed to have male love interests.

I tend to agree, though I can't say I love the idea of a crowned water tower. Hopefully the final design will be more impressive than the concept art suggests.

But that image itself—with the rock work, tree stump, and briar patch—speaks to (or rather spoke to) the highly themed environment that characterised the entire ride. It announced itself to be more than just another log flume.

I agree with others on this: it was the theming rather than the drop that rendered Splash Mountain so special and distinctive. I hope Tiana's Bayou Adventure maintains that distinction.
