Resort guests are what 20% of the gate right? Not only that, who do you think is most likely to have a dining reservation? Shouldn’t be a hard group to predict.
Thinking further, I think this is coming from a fear of non MNSSHP nights at MK. Those have always been a cluster and now they only have one other park doing night shows. I think this may be an admission Fantasmic will still inexplicably not be back. This goes to show how short sided was...
So they know park reservations are unpopular, they know people are complaining things are too complex, and they are just doubling down? I don’t get it.
They have assembled a really great team at that park, as an example (and I’m sure someone who contributed to this) the head of the PR department is Don Helbig. Before pursuing a career path in Public Relations (and holding jobs outside the park this local was a major fan, he’s actually the...
FYI Disney this is how you wow your audience with a 50th show:
That’s Kings Island’s 50th show, complete with fireworks, fountains and drones. It celebrates the park history and is a gigantic upgrade from their previous show tripling in length (old shoe linked below.). It’s a shame...

The speedway has Christmas lights along it.
Disney is a big company, the question you have to ask is, are the parks causing that underperformance? In an effort to not get too off topic the answer to that is no (it’s television and streaming.)
Clearly you’ve never lived close to a park you have a pass to. When I lived in Toledo, I most definitely rode the Magnum XL 200 roller coaster higher then that pace (mainly because at the end of every day I would do 3-5 laps on it to end my night.)
It stinks, but I don’t know if I go with scary, scary is a 40-50% drop which can and does happen in stocks. They however usually bounce back (there has been no time in the last 100 years where the S&P failed to have a positive return over 20 years.)
What’s also scary is 70% drop which is what...
One year during HMH I heard the normal HM lines for the balcony leaving the seance room. Corey Burton does an amazing Paul Frees but hearing the two in quick succession it was fairly obvious. Audio was back to HMH in the attic.
