    News D23 Expo 2022

I find this hard to believe for one main reason. They already hit the brakes, for the most part, on new projects after covid hit. Now they're going to keep their foot on the brakes because of the possibility of a recession? A recession might not hit at all, could hit this year, next year, or...

    Catering to the Uber Rich

That's not true at all. I know several people who have access to private jets and one who owns a jet. Someone who would even conceive of doing this kind of trip might definitely have the means to fly private.

    Catering to the Uber Rich

The real question here is, how much would it cost to just do this on your own? I'm guess far, far less but you miss out on the exclusive stuff.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - attraction discussion only

I still maintain that this is definitely happening in Disneyland, but possibly not happening in WDW. Closing down a headliner attraction for 2 years in the run up to the opening of Epic Universe, while then sieging 50-100 million+ on this just makes very little sense. And no, they don't have...

    Disney’s Q2 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

Professional spin artist. Really? Revenues are up after last year's covid mess? Who would have thought! I hope investors continue to punish Disney stock. They're losing confidence in Chapek. Investors like stability.

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

Then why was it created? Genuinely curious because I've been traveling for weeks and am way behind on the news cycle.

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

They are publicly traded, so the answer is no. Like it or not, every publicly traded company worships at the altar of the dollar.

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

Parents have every right to say they don't want certain sexual topics taught to their kindergartners who can barely grasp the concept of night and day. It's not being phobic of any kind no matter how loudly people want to yell that it is. Should we teach kindergartens about capital punishment...

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

Is it being a bully to force everyone to wear a mask? That term is incredibly subjective and can thus be thrown around by everyone on both sides of this issue. Meaning, the point you tried to make can be made by people on the exact opposite side.

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

Regardless of where you stand on the bill itself, Disney can underestimate the size of that "cohort" to their own detriment. It's likely in the tens of millions at this point. Thus, Chapek must go even if he's just the sacrificial lamb.

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

This is a brilliant reply taking the issue from many angles. Parents have every right to say they don't want their kids learning certain topics. The same as they have ever right to say they DO want their kids learning certain things. Don't like it? Don't move to that state. It's not tyranny...

Florida Legislators Want To Remove The Reedy Creek Improvement District

Anyone that thinks this will blow over and Disney won't suffer any brand damage isn't grasping the scope of this situation. It's not just this bill. Anecdotal, sure, but being the Disney Nuts in our very large (both geographically and number of people) social circle, we have had countless...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Good lord that queue is unimpressive. Where on Earth (or Xandar) did the 5 billion go? The ride better be extremely impressive but unfortunately I smell another dud. The ship out front doesn't light up either? And I'm not a "Disney can do nothing right" kind of person.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

That ship just looks so bad in person. I had a work meeting down in Orlando recently and swung in since I have an AP. All you notice is the giant metal stand holding it up. Like I've said before, that is a 20-30k prop and I believe they cheaped out on it. If you can build a Mazda for 20k, you...

    Disney negotiating the LOTR rights!

LOTR is a great fit for Disney. They have violence but certainly no more than an average marvel movie. They also have great characters and role models and no bad language. I imagine animated spinoffs, possibly a reboot of the original trilogy (but they're nearly perfect already in my opinion)...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Ah. Still seems like they're making story decisions that allow them to save money as opposed to actually making things look thematic and interesting.

Lin-Manuel Miranda Pitches Encanto Attraction to Chapek?

Encanto was precisely 9.4x better than Raya so I'd welcome a new dark ride based on it. Me and my family thought it was pretty great!

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

My problem with the column is not that it's there, and it's huge. The real problem is that Disney should have made it part of the theming. It should look like it's docked or something as part of a larger structure. Instead it's blatantly obvious why that pole is sticking up out of the ground...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - attraction discussion only

The US is on the fast track to a recession. Don't hold your breath for this retheme. Cheapek is bad now, imagine him when attendance drops and per guest spending nosedives. Planned upgrades, rethemes, etc could easily be indefinitely delayed. As time goes on I have come to accept that this...
