Everything is done to benefit shareholders. They could run every attraction at half capacity with 2+ hour waits for every single one.. quick service location lines could be out the door with 2 registers open at peak times and if bringing on more staff took even a dime away from the shareholders...
They need to start opening EVERYTHING back up to capacity. Restaurants, shows, start running attractions at full capacity... If you're going to take away the mask requirements, then there is zero reason everything shouldn't be fully up and running now. The parks are too crowded to not be running...
And that's exactly what this park reservation system does. It gives them idea of how many people are going to be at each park so they can staff accordingly. Stinks for guests who decide to hop to Epcot after 2pm and the park gets busier and they don't have the staff for the increased crowds...
I was just looking at my AP comparisons... in 2001 we paid $349 no blackout dates... 2011 we paid $519 no blackout dates (increase of $170 over 10 years) In 2021 the same AP is $1,195 (increase of $676 over 10 years)
Whenever we need to go from one resort to another, we usually Uber. It's pretty inexpensive and it saves the hassle of having to wait for a bus and then switching modes of transportation
YAY! How exciting!! AKL is our FAVORITE!! I spend so much time on the balcony watching the animals. They also do have some tours and stuff at AKL too if you're looking to do something fun without going into the parks!
We've used DVC Rental Store before too. SO much better than going directly...
We're heading on over to Disney Cruise Line. DCL used to be MUCH more expensive than a Disney cruise. We could stay at a value resort and get the EMH. Well now if we want EMH, we have to stay deluxe. Add in cost to get to and from the airport now, paid G+ and LL... the costs aren't too much...
I understand what it is. I'm not saying it's the same thing. I'm wondering if this is going to replace MVMCP going forward and if Boo Bash is going to replace MNSSHP. I understand attendance is limited. The other ones were too. But for a family of 3 who likes MNSSHP, paying for Boo Bash is just...
This is my first time looking at the prices...... WOW. So do we think it's safe to say MNSSHP and MVMCP will not come back in their previous forms next year? A higher ticketed event, shorter duration and it seems like people are still paying it.... Sad.
Oh man.. if I had just paid for my family to ride it because of a posted 60 minutes wait time and could've basically just walked on, Guest Services would be hearing from me. It's one for the wait times to be off a little bit, nut off by an entire hour? Unacceptable, but honestly not surprising...
Then why is there a sign at some of the resorts saying not to leave your car? I'm sorry but Parking at a resort to avoid parking fees or to be closer is just poor taste.
With a resort stay APs should have the same benefits as people with non-AP tickets. Ridiculous you can't add it to the length of stay with a resort booked.
I feel like the "discounted" rates they typically offer for resort rooms are what they should be priced at to start. But they jack the prices up and then give a discount and people think "wow, I'm going to be saving a LOT!" when the resorts should be priced at those discounted prices to begin...
$10 an hour or $17 an hour, doesn't matter. Disney doesn't want to pay to bring them back. Same thing with the tram service. They're making guests walk from their cars to the entrance and some of those walks can be pretty far and may seem even more so with children or people with mobility issues.
