Labor cost cutting measures begin at Walt Disney World as the company enters Q1

How Disney responds to what is happening now will tell us actually who Chapek is as the CEO. I know the fun thing is to blame Chapek for everything wrong, but what we are seeing at this moment is still Iger's WDW. A ship as large as TWDC doesn't turn quickly. Yes, Chapek ran the parks, but...

Chapek's current total compensation package paid him more than $33 million less than Iger made as CEO the year before.

Labor cost cutting measures begin at Walt Disney World as the company enters Q1

I think there was a price shock that hit travelers domestically over the summer that caused many people to decide to delay travel another year. Prices for everything were crazy for a few months. It wasn't just a DIsney thing. Rental cars, airfare and hotels across the country were charging...

Disney+ didn't rake in cash, it lost money. It will most likely continue lose money for the next couple of years

Labor cost cutting measures begin at Walt Disney World as the company enters Q1

My guess is the big savings on these cuts will come on the management side. Chapek has signaled that he thinks Disney's management is bloated and in some cases over compensated across the company's divisions.

Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

I mean if you want to treat a cartoon character like she is a representation of real women, the fact she is in a sexual relationship of some sort with a rabbit should bother you far more than her *******. Being bothered by either is crazy since they are cartoon characters.

    Thank you, Len.

Is the DVC business for sale?

They will if they get to sell the new Disneyland site, a future Poly tower and if Disney has stockpiled a bunch of points at existing resorts with buybacks over the last year.

Is the DVC business for sale?

In Chapek's defense.......... Disney's revenue streams have been hammered for almost two years, his predecessor saddled the company with over $50 billion in debt and the company's credit rating has been downgraded making future borrowing more expensive. He needs to find ways to generate cash...

Is the DVC business for sale?

DVC/DVD/DVMC currently pays Disney Resorts for the services you described. If, they were sold I would expect the same arrangement to remain in place.

Is the DVC business for sale?

You just sign a services contract with Disney Resorts which is exactly what happens now with the separate Disney subsidiaries.

Is the DVC business for sale?

What do you think about this Cast? I am thinking probably just Disney option exploring at this point. That said, if a potential buyer wants a wider range of inventory to sell when they take over, that could explain the buck back letters Disney has been sending out.

Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

Thank you for the run down. Roger Rabbit is one of my all time favorite Disney productions. It has always felt to me like it was underused and now, sadly, lacks the relevance to be properly used anymore.

Is the DVC business for sale?

It sound like it would be a sale of the whole division. I think it probably is only in the discussion stage at this point. Len Testa brought it up at the 51 minute mark of today's Disney Dish podcast.

Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

Why is that good? The whole thing that made Jessica work as a character was that everyone assumed she was a bimbo sex pot, but it turns out she is the smartest character, the most balanced character and most sincere character in the film.

Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

Weren't the plans at one time to even go in bigger on Roger both in film and in the parks, but then their was a falling out between Spielberg and Disney that basically stopped anything new with Roger from moving forward?
