Haunted Mansion to Return with New Enhancements and Magic :(

Where's the outrage for anything inside Disneyland? I hadn't heard anyone comment about Splash Mountain, the auction scene, the hanging corpse, etc. before there announced changes and I've spent a ton of time talking Disneyland online, at the parks, and working there. After they announced the...

Nothing says Christmas like celebrating a month after the holiday.

Disneyland police blotter: Here are some of the crimes reported in September - OCR/SCNG

Back in fall of '19 I was in the Emporium with a friend, and a guy who was very drunk or under the influence of something got tackled by a security guard- he took two stands of merchandise down with him. Anaheim PD rushed in and got him arrested. I remember hearing that Disney doesn't allow...

Haunted Mansion to Return with New Enhancements and Magic :(

The day they get rid of the hanging corpse is the day I never ride the ride again.

    Space Mountain Single Rider

The single rider discomfort goes both ways. A few trips ago my friend rode it single rider while we did Buzz Lightyear, got off, and was like "dang that person next to me needed a shower".

Disney not subject to Anaheim’s ‘living wage’ ballot measure, judge rules - OCR/SCNG

This is true. They were hiring an attractions maintenance person at $28 an hour a month or two ago. Not bad hourly for a full time position.

Disney not subject to Anaheim’s ‘living wage’ ballot measure, judge rules - OCR/SCNG

By contrast, I know someone who started in entertainment on in the early '90s moved up in entertainment over the years, and now has an office in TDA and is in senior management for operations. Really delightful to chat with, very positive, and an incredibly professional individual I also met a...

    News Reimagined Toontown coming

It's pretty amazing that in a park as 'compact' and restricted in size as Disneyland, there can still be spaces like this that are unused.

    News Reimagined Toontown coming

It would make sense to space the opening of the two rides apart by a year or two. But then, where does a Splash reopen fit in? So we'd have MMRR 2023. Splash's replacement 2024, and a Roger Rabbit replacement 2025?

    News Reimagined Toontown coming

As long as the new land doesn't include a walk around version of this Goofy I'll consider it a win. If I wanted a photo op with this I'd just ask someone at the bus stop on Harbor!

News "it's a small world" Holiday Will Not Open on Schedule Due to Incident

I feel like if it was as small as suggested earlier it wouldn't have taken this long to get the flood out? I'm not saying the whole ride was flooded (though some might say the ride would look better that way anyways). But it doesn't seem like a pipe burst and flooded an individual closet. I...

    News Reimagined Toontown coming

It also makes you wonder- what was the point of making a big deal about re imagining the Roger Rabbit ride to have Jessica Rabbit as a PI if the ride was just gonna close two years later? Unless it's not closing and they just didn't think to prepare an answer to the most obvious question you'd...

    Disney's Over-Reliance on Smartphones

Every once in a while I wonder why the stuff they're adding to Disneyland these days is so bland, artificial, and completely devoid of any kind of charm or soul. Then I watch videos like Patrick and compare that to the people that ran the place for decades while it was at its peak and I'm like...

Disney not subject to Anaheim’s ‘living wage’ ballot measure, judge rules - OCR/SCNG

It's funny- there's a meal replacement shake company that's popular in Silicon Valley that decided to call itself Soylent. It's a creative name, but I'm not sure they really thought that one through. https://soylent.com/
