Park Hopping Order - Sunday, December 12, 2021

Hello, all. We're going to be in Southern California for a long weekend in early December and plan to get 1-day Park Hopper tickets for Sunday, December 12. My gut instinct is for us to start at Disneyland Park and hop over to Disney California Adventure some time after the 1:00 p.m. park...

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I went to DHS yesterday. I arrived a little after 6:00 a.m., was near the front of the group waiting to get into Galaxy's Edge by the tunnel shortly after 7:00, and got on the MDE app immediately prior to 8:00, using a wifi hotspot to avoid Disney's wifi. I still ended up in Boarding Group 98...

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

The San Diego Zoo has one, and I still consider that to be a pretty fine zoo!

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Yes, but a lot times Mr. Wizard had just a little bit of a scowl, and he kind of fussed at those kids sometimes, kind of an anti-Mr. Rogers vibe.

Why does it take 3 years to build a ride?

But . . . those POTC boats do "swamp" if the boat is full and the weight isn't evenly distributed. We rode it on Saturday morning, and my youngest son got a shoe full of water, plus wet shorts and a wet right side of his shirt. If I recall correctly, it happened at the bottom of the drop. We...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

And the reference to the black light and the Jackson Pollock painting . . . yikes. Thankfully, that goes right over the head of my kids.

News Peak season crowds have arrived

I agree on Epcot. It looked great. As a side note, two of my kids tried Beverly soda at Club Cool on the way out of Epcot. Their reactions were comic gold! Quote: "It's like the taste in your mouth after you vomit."

News Peak season crowds have arrived

My family stayed in adjoining studios at the Polynesian using DVC points for part of last week. We were at Blizzard Beach last Wednesday, Epcot and Hollywood Studios last Thursday, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom on Friday, and Magic Kingdom on Saturday. Our approach (other than the day at...

Hmmm. If it's right on the water's edge, then my ingenious solution does just kind of fall apart. :)

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

I believe I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but has any consideration been given to using an Eiffel Tower-theme for the last gondola tower before dropping down into the International Gateway terminal? It seems to me like Disney could take care of several sightline issues by building an...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Is it possible to incorporate an Eiffel Tower replica into/onto the last gondola tower before the International Gateway? I know there was talk of themed stations, so why not add one themed tower where it is most appropriate?

    Hurricane Irma

My sincere hope for both of you (watching intently from downtown Birmingham) is that Orlando gets nothing more than a manageable amount of wind and rain.

    Hurricane Irma

You make some very good points in this post. My fingers are crossed that the storm tracks precisely as you have described, as it is the "least bad" of the potentially horrible outcomes. I grew up in Mobile, now live in Birmingham, closely watch all of these storms (out of habit), and obsess...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I love the music, too, particularly the way it is synchronized with the "humps" toward the end of the ride. Are you able to say what it is changing to and why? Side note: my first ride on California Screamin' was in light rain, making it nearly impossible to see and also somewhat painful. My...

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

Irrespective of the degree of swing, I do think there is risk that some folks might suffer mild motion sickness on the gondolas. We took a family ski trip to Breckenridge in late March. While there, we rode the BreckConnect Gondola up to Peak 8. There was no wind to speak of, but the gondola...

Possible Attraction in France pavilion (Epcot) Update - new Attraction Greenlit

I took it to mean that the changes to France and Universe of Energy would be completed prior to the 50th and therefore would not be part of the official slate of attractions tied directly to the 50th, but I could be wrong.
