News PHOTO - Endangered White Rhino born at Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's nice that they're born so close to each other, now the young ones will have playmates

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

This is what I don't get about the "oh but it's so much nicer to not have to plan beforehand" crowd: you still do need to plan before even getting to the park. I can't imagine having to plan to wake up 7am in my vacation to spend time refreshing again and again to try and grab what I've already...

News Swan and Dolphin Tower Expansion - The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The inside looks really pretty. It isn't Disney themed, but its not a disney property so I don't think there's a problem with that. The outside is terrible however. Bad enough that's its just a basic glass box, but it fails to do something as basic as fit the theming of the rest of its own...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

It might not be harder, but let's see how happy people are when you go on an actually crowded day and you pay upfront and find you can't pick the rides you want at all ;)

News Return of the Walt Disney World tram fleet tracker

Genius move. Guests can't inflate the lines if they can't even reach the park *taps head*

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Reading about the 7am thing here really bothers me. Supposedly I can't plan my fast lines days out to help the experience of those that don't like to plan every detail ahead, but just come in the park and see what's happening... but those people aren't going to know (or want) that they need to...

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

Aren't the list of activities out? I recall seeing one and it included "card games" and other underwhelming options.

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

I'll miss PW. It was a blast taking people unaware of what it was and watching their faces change as they were thrown around during it. That and I'm sure it helped dislodged many kidney stones.

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

Maybe I'm wrong, but I do believe the majority of the hatred is not for the endeavor itself, but the value: aka, the price + what you get for it. People feel the price is too much for what they're offering. And why this results in wishes that it fails? Because if it succeeds, it'll show Disney...

    Entertainment News

Is this for any meeting, or just the ones with face out? Because I can't imagine full costumed ones needing the "no autograph rule" since they're fully protected. Then again, I guess it's easier to make general safety guidelines that cover any meet and greet then have to define different rules...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Maybe they're checking out to see how much they can get away with. If most are unaware enough that they don't realize they were tricked, and instead come out thinking how great Disney is for this free service... they don't have much incentive to improve it. In fact, given that it isn't lining...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Thank you, I'd forgotten how to say 'take advantage of' in english. Yes, I absolutely agree that is the Genie's purpose.

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

It doesn't sound like a problem, but purposeful design. I think Genie was never designed to cater to the repeat disney fans, who've been to the parks enough times to know where and when to go after seeing wait times ad crowds. Genie seems to be geared towards to new guests, or guests that go...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Ironically, if they had just added Rise to G+ for now they could get away with the downtimes since G+ is not a promise you'll get the specific lines you want, despite paying up.

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Would be interesting to check the regular line wait times on the days where people report the G+ worked out fine and they could pick the rides they wanted.

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

I understand not wanting to plan out in advance. But at the same time I can't imagine paying and not caring about whatever you get. Like, if I'm being spontaneous in a free fast line offering, comes the day and I find out none of the rides I'm into are available for fast line, and all I can...

Why would anyone stay onsite at a WDW Resort anymore?

With the constant price increases, and the decrease in amenities for onsite, I might go offsite for the first time next visit. I'll crunch some numbers, and if it turns out using uber (I dont drive) to and from the parks every day is cheaper than staying onsite, I might just do that. I do like...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

What boggles my mind the most is that G+ isn't just "paid FP+" but actively worse than FP+...and paid. With FP+, you could plan out your trip 30, maybe 60, days in advance -or any other day before your trip- so when you got to the parks it was just, arrive, enjoy. Now for G+ you're forced to...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Yes. I think the "books a week to spend only half days at the park" guests are either those who live close by or hardcore fans who come over every year. An international guest isn't going to spend a day flying to the USA, on a trip they don't too often, just to spend half day at the park. And...
