Universal Studios Florida desperately needs new BGM

This. There should be recognizable tunes and themes but it rerecorded for use in the parks. The loops Disney uses near the Rapunzel bathrooms and around Splash Mountain are prime examples- it's largely music from the films but not just straight from the soundtracks- the instruments used fit the...

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Hasn't overall capacity decreased at the Magic Kingdom due to ride stoppages for loading disabled guests?

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Would you have been more or less offended if this were presented as a straightforward $400 ticket price increase?

Disney Genie, Genie+ officially introduced along with confirmed details of how it will work

Unless the charge is $70-$80 per high demand ride, I don't see it deterring a lot of people.

This wasn't an evening when the park was closing early for Snap-On Tools private event, was it?

    Turtle Trek 360 is back.

I visited Turtle Trek on June 12 and it was certainly in a sad state. There was no 3D and the film was playing in a constant loop, so you just walked in and out. One of the projectors was bugged out, too, so it was only displaying a frozen frame that updated every 10 seconds or so.

Best ride in Marvel Superhero Island?

I would add to that, 1.) Anything Marvel that Universal could build would necessarily look and sound very different from the "Marvel" most of the general public likes and expects. They own the rights to the characters generally, but not to the derivative works created since the agreement. An...

Best ride in Marvel Superhero Island?

Disney doesn't have a time machine. They can't go back and stop Marvel from licensing those characters to Universal.

Universal Studios Florida desperately needs new BGM

Not only does Universal need new loops, they need longer loops. Like, a lot longer. I'm pretty sure neither the Camp Jurassic nor Port of Entry loops break 20 minutes. My heart goes out to the poor team members that have to listen to that.

Best ride in Marvel Superhero Island?

Isn't it a better time than ever? As long as they didn't use anything original to the movies, what's stopping Universal from putting in an Iron Man ride?

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

Neither Fallon nor Fast and the Furious deliver on their potential hourly guest capacity because people simply aren't queuing up to ride them. This is because those attractions are terrible.

FastPass+ Most Certainly Not Coming Back As It Was

A lot of it is the difference between Disney having a dedicated in-house engineering company that, most of the time, is the best outfit of its kind in the world and Universal Creative being a relatively small and efficient office that largely relies on 3rd party contractors to do its work. WDI...

SPOILERS! Discussion/reaction thread for Loki streaming Marvel series on Disney+ - new episodes begin June 9th!

Oh definitely. Both the dramatic arcs of Black Panther refusing to avenge his father's death and Captain America chosing Bucky over Tony were resolved clearly and with adequate space to let the stories feel resolved. The problem with the ending to Loki isn't so much what happened but that the...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Hopefully the money went to elaborate show scenes on the ground floor to begin and end the attraction, but my understanding is that the whole point of these Vekoma articulated coaster cars was that they could dynamically turn to face show scenes when they're moving at speed. Doesn't look like...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

The real problem with Gringott's is pacing- it has exactly one really good trick up its sleeve and does it right away. Everything after that is screen-based and unlike Mummy there's no satisfying roller-coaster finale- just more screens.
