For almost 5 years, I have enjoyed sharing the love of Disney with many of you. We may not have always agreed, but we had a good time. For fear of not losing your respect completely (if I haven’t already) I will be going away for now. I wish you all the best of luck. Keep imagining. ✌️

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

For as problematic as it is that a white person appropriated black culture, it is problematic to also erase the original black culture or treat it like it doesn’t matter. It isn’t about saving SotS. It’s about doing justice to the legacy of the black Americans that created the original story...

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

But I don’t. We’re having an issue of communication. The stories are culturally important, but were appropriated and inappropriately credited to a white man. Disney adapted them as a film, but it was unmistakably inspired by the appropriation. With the ride, they removed it from Harris’ “Uncle...

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

You’re trying to start conflict (which makes me a little sad, I like you). No. I don’t think all of the issues are idiotic. Many are justified. Some seem to be fabricated just to bury the parts that were deemed good or okay before last June. The only specific part about the “romanticize”...

Princess and the Frog Mini Land in Fantasyland

Magic Kingdom. Under this circumstance, the Disneyland one might still go, if only because of space.

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

Do you think that 1920s was as nice as it was for southern black Americans as it was in Princess and the Frog? Both eras were unfair towards black Americans. Both films romanticize the era more than they should. Both are kids films. Disney sugarcoats stuff to a fault when it comes to children...

Princess and the Frog Mini Land in Fantasyland

I’ve been thinking about this one a lot lately. Instead of destroying one of the greatest attractions ever made and replacing it with something that will inevitably satisfy nobody, what if they created an interior “New Orleans” area in the back area of Fantasyland that contained an original ride...

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

That reason is utterly idiotic in both cases, and the only reason it’s believed in one camp over the other is due to personal bias. SotS’s biggest unique issues are its live action setting (which doesn’t have any connection to the ride) and it’s dialect (which barely has any presence in the...

Haunted Mansion to Return with New Enhancements and Magic :(

Aright, enough of that discussion. When are they going to retheme it to a Disney Villains ride? Something where Thanus, Dark Vader, and Mother Hothel can team up and do some relevant things that end in a trip to the gift shop.

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

I said Florida, but I meant MK. I don’t count Everest as a part of the mountain range.

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

(in terms of the mountains that have variants in both resorts)

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

I think Florida has the better mountain range (in terms of the mountains that have variants in both resorts). Disneyland has better everything else

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

From what I remember, it’s almost impossible not to get drenched on the Disneyland Splash. I sat at the back, and I was more soaked than I’d ever been coming off the Florida one.

Splash Mountain vs The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Arguably Florida’s two best attractions that have versions in other parks. I love ToT. Phenomenal thrill with some great theming. But I’m a dark ride nut. Splash is Florida’s best dark ride, and it’s also their best music ride. The thrills aren’t as good as ToT, but they don’t need to be.

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

I’m sure that’s one of the dominating motivators for a replacement.

    Space Mountain vs Splash Mountain

Splash. But I had a dream the other night where I travelled to Disney (through a magic portal) and I chose to ride Space over Splash, so I’m not sure what that says about me 🤣

    Splash Mountain Announcement for Disneyland

So what? Just because it isn’t a big deal for you, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be for others. I am sure there’s something you care about that I don’t. Doesn’t mean I should inject my uninformed input for clout.
