Of all the mitigation measures, what is the order that WDW may roll them back? Not which order do you prefer them to be rolled back. Predicting which measure will be rolled back first, and then which one will fall next, will be very interesting to watch. Capacity limits may be bumped up and...

    [COVID-19] DCL Sailings Canceled

If proven safe, which the Pfizer vaccine apparently has been, even though their request to modify the ages of safe use in the EUA have not yet been done, can we at least ask for those age ranges (12 and up) to be vaccinated before sailing?

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

Not true. The CDC lacks enforcement power to require people to wear a mask. They can strongly state that mask wearing is one of their preferred methods to achieve Covid transmission reductions, but they cannot do anything beyond stating so. It is interesting that the darling of certain groups...

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

Untrue. The "must mask" rational has only been recent and already is being significantly ignored (i.e. Spring Breakers). The mask requirement is a targeted mitigation measure partially designed to slow the incredibly rapid transmission of a deadly respiratory virus. There are a numbers of...

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

True. Your observation, in our experience, is accurate that most of the workers on the cruise ships are from foreign countries. This highlights the issue of how to simultaneously open cruising while at the same time strictly limiting into whose arms the currently precious vaccine-inventory is...

It is interesting to see how Israel is doing in the face of vaccination or lack thereof. This Associated Press article also speaks to the "herd immunity" and passport issues. Some os the first paragraphs follow, as does a link to the full article. " ILAN BEN ZION Fri, April 2, 2021, 2:08 AM...

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

Maybe they should group all the cruiseline workers in with the other people deemed essential. Also, maybe the CDC could add a category 1Dcl. It seems as though you would have to ignore many are non-residents to accomplish this.

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

If there aren't any "CDC technical instructions" issued yet, how can anybody be in violation or not have followed something that does not yet exist? "as may be required by CDC technical instructions or orders." If nothing has been offered, how can you predict whether to do or not do...

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

Are you saying more than 10X as many people died in the US from Covid in 2020 as people died in the US from car crashes in 2019? You know, not everyone believes these numbers. They think these are made up facts, maybe they make-up counter-facts.

What? They didn't use any of the mitigation measures AND were not vaccinated? How rude.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Is it true that SARS is an abbreviation for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome? Vaccines seem to fight the "severe" part, healthcare systems seem to be there to treat the "acute" part. What could be left to address the "respiratory" part of the syndrome? Maybe social distancing, hygiene (hand...

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

Seems like cruises involve more employees than just "Porters and staff in port buildings", but, as always, we may be mistaken.

Will we reach herd immunity if most of the world gets vaccinated or does it require those in our country to meet a certain herd immunity number?

FL Governor tells CDC to get its act together

Not sure how this helps FL Gov get people (presumably in Florida and not in another country's airport/Port) "get people back to work". Also not sure if DCL and other major cruise lines, cannot versus choose not, to try the test cruises spelled out in the conditional sailing order. Wouldn't...

Didn't the Republican Senator from Wyoming, Mr. Alan Simpson, once say "Hatred corrodes the container it is carried in"? Hard to imagine JVP aligning with the anti-vax and anti-mask hordes, especially in a stadium that holds over 100,000 people. If the 95% (or RL 90%) numbers are right, even...
