News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

An expansion to Disney Springs would not require cutting through Bonnet Creek. WDW (or Reedy Creek) still owns enough land, between Buena Vista Drive and the Bonnet Creek development to facilitate that. In fact, according to an Imagineer that posts on USENET, when Buena Vista Dr was overhauled...

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

My guess is (and it's more than a guess but I'm not interested in providing references and volumes of proof) that the current track will be completely removed from the concrete base and replaced by new supports and track. I'm guessing that over the years, the current track base has loosened...

    Brightline/Virgin Trains USA

There was an article in the Orlando Sentinel some years ago that did some math and tried to show that after Coke pays Disney for advertising and sponsorship(s), and Disney pays Coke for their product, it was almost a break-even, prompting the idea that Disney gets Coke products (syrup) for free...

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening reports and using Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Why wouldn't they use both fastPasses AND boarding groups (boarding groups in place of the standby line only) ?

    Flamingo Crossings Housing

My two cents - Vista Way will be demolished and new apartments will built in it's place that will be, at first, connected to Cast Member incentives. Just my opinion folks.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

I realize that this is just an idea, kicking around these threads, but I do want to point out that when Buena Vista Drive and World Drive were being rebuilt near Old Key West, new bridges over the canal extension were built, and built a few feet higher than the road, leaving enough room...

Is it worth at $700 savings to stay at Pop Century?

You didn't say for how many days that savings is good for. POFQ is well worth the money though, the pools are better, the rooms are better, the grounds are better, there are food court(s) AND restaurants at POFQ, and you have boat access to Disney Springs for those down days. YMMV

    Brightline/Virgin Trains USA

If I'm not mistaken, the original HSR plan was brought about by Tampa's bid to host the (2012) Olympic games and the Olympic committee responding early on, that Tampa needed more lodging capacity, and the solution they came up with was to link the two cities via rail. I'm not sure speed was the...
