Tokyo's Beauty & the Beast... Better than Ratatouille?

Based on videos alone, I would rank the trackless attractions as follows: 1. Rise 2. Mystic Manor 3. Runaway Railway 4. Pooh 5. Rat 6. BatB Rat is the better fit for Epcot, BatB would have been a better fit than Mermaid, a modified version of the Mystic Manor story/attraction as a replacement...

Beauty and the Beast Tokyo ride through

That dancing Beast and Belle animatronic at the end is pretty spectacular! It appears that both of Beasts feet actually lift and move... I assume both figures are anchored together through a common anchor point under Belle. Really cool tech there!

Beauty and the Beast Tokyo ride through

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of neat effects and it looks really good, but it all feels a bit haphazard. It doesn't help that BatB is my favorite of the Disney animated movies so maybe my expectations were set too high to...

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

It's quite a mix... Cedar Point has several on property hotels, but just off the peninsula you can find just a wider range range of chain hotels and motels ranging from absolute dumps to respectably nice hotels. (No Marriott's or Hilton's, but Cedar Point's Hotel Breakers is quite nice)

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

For what it's worth, in the last couple days, Rhode has posted some drawings he recently made of Dinosaurs on his Instagram feed... Not sure if that has any connection to the closing of Primeval Whirl (and more importantly what might replace that area) or if it's just coincidence...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Not sure what would be worse... A SBNO PW for several years, or if they just remove PW and put a few temporary planters and a M&G there for a few years... As much as everyone complains about how the area as a whole looks, that ride is the centerpiece of the area and for it to be either SBNO or...

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is done, won't reopen with the parks.

To add to that list, Disneyland's Dumbo and Astro Orbiters have both moved within Disneyland (from their original locations) and Flik's Flyers was moved (and rethemed) within DCA.

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

Seems the one thing new Disney themed areas (Batoo/Pandora) have really lacked is kinetic energy. Doesn't seem Nintendo will have that issue at all!

    Country Bear Jamboree Updates?

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

So... What are the chances that we see a timeline similar to FEA... Close Oct 2020, reopen by June 2022 in time for summer of the 50th anniversary season? Or is planning not far along enough to start work that soon?

Dr. Facilier is one of my favorite (modern) Disney villians... Excited to see what they might do with him and his song in the the Laughing Place area and lead up to the lift... Hoping they at least "tech" the heck out of it like they did with Frozen Ever After...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

If they somehow found a way to add a "Tiana's Place" restaurant with this retheme, that would go a long way to soften the blow... I wonder what eventually happens with the one in Tokyo (stays the same or some other theme)...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

I think my biggest regret is how likely I am to miss this when I go in Summer 2022 due to it still being closed... Unless they push some fast upgrade to have this done as one of the new things for the Anniversary...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

So, with 6 weeks until EPCOT reopens, any chance Rat opens then? Or is Aug/Sept more realistic? Seems opening it right when EPCOT reopens could draw some serious crowds (which I would think they would be wanting to avoid... At least right at the beginning)
