Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I attended the presentation in spirited company and the thing felt weird. From the food going from a buffet to seafood, giant rare beef filet and cute Mickey mousse cake to the presentation feeling like the ending was cut, it was different than what I was expecting. They kept mentioning Star...

Liberty Square Market Seating Area Demolished

TRON use double loading stations/unload stations. Track splits up like Big Thunder Mountain, but there are separate load and unload positions. TRON is not that restrictive... the main issue will be some WDW guests who don't want to bend down or get their legs restrained, like what is happening...

Liberty Square Market Seating Area Demolished

Slinky is 1100-1200. Seven Dwarves Mine Train is similar and TRON will be as well. That's the target WDI is aiming for it seems and its actually tough for modern coasters to reach that. Take for example the Mack Megacoaster, like Blue Fire at Europa Park. Blue Fire runs four trains efficiently...

Liberty Square Market Seating Area Demolished

Firechaser Express cost like 14 million dollars. Its a Gerstlauer family coaster though, so lower capacity and not "tough enough" for Disney wear and tear, so you'd need to get Vekoma, Mack or Intamin to get it, which would push the costs up. Roller coasters that use fire: - The indoor...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Motor Actions was recently rewritten to clean-up the show. The high dive off the building was removed years ago: now, the guy just falls backward out of sight. The fire wall the biker slides through has been off for a while. The giant screen needs to be replaced due to massive lines and...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I will see what is happening and if it is not rude to do so as it will be a formal working lunch, not a show like at D23.

    News D23 Expo 2019

Benoit Jutras doing the new Cirque du Soleil show soundtrack? If it is half as good as the La Nouba one that he composed, it will be the best part of the show.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

The lockers are not mandatory anymore in Shanghai for TRON. When they assign you a row, there is a cast member with a cart that collects everyone's bags and wait for the train when it returns to unload. Didn't slow down capacity and avoided the crazy bottle neck at the locker area.

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

Different manufacturers. Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa and Project X at Legoland Florida are Wild Mouse of different models by Mack Rides. Goofy Sky School at Disney California Adventure is also from Mack and share the same layout as Sand Serpent.

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

It does. As a french speaker, that article is very inaccurate and does not reflect what happened at all. Reverchon is still in business, has an active website Reverchon and they delivered a coaster this year to a park in France. They are very well alive, but most bloggers forget they exist since...

News Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom experiencing extended downtime

Raging Spirits is a fun and pretty coaster. Much better than Primeval Whirl, Rock n Roller Coaster.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I know a few people who worked on the ride. Every elevator and both preshow room can have the language selected. Back in the days of Honey I shrunk the kids, the rule was english during the week, french on weekends based on how many foreigners came during the week. But, there are times where...

Observations about Shanghai Disneyland: visit on 06/11/2019

Downloaded the Shanghai Disneyland before my trip back home in Canada. Then, once at Shanghai Disneyland, I put in my Canada phone number to get an access code to access Wifi.

Observations about Shanghai Disneyland: visit on 06/11/2019

By a complete fluke, I was able to visit every Disney theme park in the world in the span of 10 months. Like, I was supposed to visit Hong Kong Disneyland in June 2018, but I had to reroute my flights to Indonesia and ended up with a 3 hours layover in Hong Kong instead of 8. Then, ended up in...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

One major misconception about Vekoma is that people in the US have mostly experienced so far pre bankrupcy Vekoma era. In 2001, Vekoma went bankrupt and out of the reorganisation, things changed a lot. Everest and Grizzly mountain runaway mine cars (hkdl) along with Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot are...

    Zootopia Coming To Shanghai

I forgot one thing: how will they integrate Seven Dwarves Mine Train in this? They will also need to finish the back side of that hill as the back is completely unthemed.

    Zootopia Coming To Shanghai

Was at IAAPA Asia Expo in Shanghai last week and did a tour at Shanghai Disneyland. We went backstage for a few things and got to see the size of the cleared land for Zootopia. Its HUGE. It basically goes up to the perimeter backstage and goes from the Pooh's show building to near Pirates...

News TEA/AECOM 2018 Theme Index Released

On the other hand, someone quoted to me a lower average number for Disney Hollywood Studios and it was a bit lower than the TEA numbers. For Knotts, TEA claim they did 4.1 million, which is in opposite to what Cedar Fair quoted around 6 million for the park in a recent earning call. Looking at...
