Man Accused of Stealing Buzzy's Clothing from Disney World Arrested

$25,000+ in restitution, 250 hours of community service, and a decade of probation. Something tells me he ain't lasting those 10 years 😂

The Saber Forge: Savi’s Hand Built Lightsabers

There is a stand (for just the hilt) available at Dok Ondar's. I think the price was $24.99 when we went

The Saber Forge: Savi’s Hand Built Lightsabers

We have the stands from GE but unfortunately not the shelf space at the moment. It still seems like a major design flaw/oversight that the switch for the saber doesn't seem to properly open/close the circuit (based off of my experience and that of others I found after googling to see if anyone...

The Saber Forge: Savi’s Hand Built Lightsabers

I know this is an older thread, but I feel like this is an appropriate place to put this. Just a bit of advice to you guys: Store your sabers without the battery packs in them. We had ours stored in the provided cases from Savi's since going opening day and have only occasionally taken them out...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

My take on it is this: I think it's absolutely fine to ban costumes where the face would be covered by a mask. However, I find it a bit absurd that I can't wear the robe that they sell in the land that I bought it in. I don't think there should be anything wrong with allowing the robes and just...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

As someone who's worn full robes at WWoHP with friends multiple times, I think we've been "confused" with cast members only once and it was a family of foreigners who wanted to take a family photo (not one of just their kids) with us, and I don't even know if they thought we were cast members or...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I know this was meant sarcastically, but it made me realize: Jedha would've actually been a good choice for the park. We know it gets destroyed later so it makes worrying about what happens in the theme park altering canon too much a null point and it allows original character usage. It also has...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I actually forgot to update that 😆 but thanks! It was for the opening of GE actually

If it doesn't increase overall attendance across property then its net impact would still be zero. Even if DHS's numbers go up, if the numbers for Epcot, MK, and AK go down to equal it, it didn't increase attendance.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think the major difference is that even though it doesn’t use the OT characters it is still inherently IP-based. As someone who likes Force Awakens (and Rogue One) and someone who has been to the land, taking almost all elements from the originals out while still using the IP just feels like a...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

You keep saying "large role," ~30 seconds or less of voiceover and some green LEDs is not a large role. It's a cameo essentially and while it was interesting, that aspect of the workshop honestly felt a bit campy/hokey when it happened.

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is 100% true. Went opening day and every shop had the standard Disney bags. I found it very weird since they went to all the trouble to theme everything else

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

A certain site (you know the one) posted about the previews today by saying: "While the Skyliner seemed just about ready to go by the end of August for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it was strangely delayed for a full month" They really can't admit when they're wrong, can they? It's...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I actually experienced both MF:SR and FoP for the first time on the same day (maybe 6-7 hours apart). FoP was definitely the better simulator. I really think the only thing that sets MF:SR apart from other simulators is the nostalgia factor. That being said, I feel like they could've leaned...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I honestly think this is an unfair take on it (it here meaning the other poster's opinion). There are aspects of it that are really great, and I can totally see how people can love what's currently there. That being said, I tend to take a more analytical stance with a lot of creative stuff...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

I'm pretty sure I fall mid-way between the 1 and 4. Having gone opening day, my first impressions of it were great, but once my initial excitement wore off, I was able to analyze the land a bit more level-headed. One example of this was the Falcon. Entering the cockpit and just being there was...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is totally irrelevant to judging the land currently. I'm not going to base my opinion of the land on what it could be, but rather what it currently is. But it's not and this is speaking hypothetically and not an established fact, so again irrelevant in forming one's opinion of the land...

News Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

We walked-up the morning of opening day, so this is probably far from the norm, but we were told it'd be 15-20 minutes and waited around 10 minutes. This was at 5:30 in the morning though, so again, very unlikely to be what is typical.
