How well is the general effect pulled off?
Does the Earth look like it is both below you and distant (as a sphere would)?
Do the ships/astronauts floating about appear to be in a middle distance as one patent showed possible?
Thanks to all doing coverage.
I read from first hand accounts that there indeed is like a middle plane for the various ships, astronauts, and other objects floating, kinda similar to how the effect is pulled off on ROTR with the ships in the bridge/cannon screens.

I thought ROTR did it well when I got to see it personally, so same here most likely.

I'm sure it's been asked and answered already but I didn't see it mentioned so I'll ask: (again?)
Is there any physical/practical effect enhancements to the arrival/departure scene? A vibrating floor, a shifting handrail, Hot/Cold? Anything?
