Pre-Trip At Last I See The Light

Wow. I haven't posted or interacted with my Magicians in so long.. Do y'all even remember me?!

I had a work trip booked back in April 2020 - CANCELLED

I had my (first) Christmas trip planned for December 2020 - CANCELLED

I could've managed the trip pandemic wise in December.. but I work for a large state university. They told us "sure you can travel, and then you have to quarantine for two weeks after you return and use PTO to do so.” Uh... no thanks.

It's been such a hard year, I needed something to look forward to.

I have had some EXTRA stress (because who doesn't need more of it these days?!) that I have been pretty open about if you follow me on other social media channels. My husband, Ian, and I have been struggling with infertility for a number of years now. It is one of the reason it made it hard to come read trip reports, lots of guys and gals celebrating this wonderful event (but painful for me to see) When the pandemic began, we finally started going the *science* route to help the process of starting our family. The very expensive and emotional process. All I wanted during this time was to be home at Disney World, but no dice. After our cancelled December trip, we had moved on to IVF.

We had some successes, some failures, and lots of heartbreak. Sometime in March I decided that I couldn't put my life on hold indefinitely, and booked a trip to celebrate my 30th birthday in November - plus seeing WDW at Christmas which was my goal in 2020!

(sensitive warning)

And then this little embryo....

Where: Pop Century (Ian's first time NOT at a Deluxe..)
Who: My husband Ian & me + a baby on board!

I feel like I'm really going to use this PTR in the coming months to get any advice on doing Disney pregnant and trying to be as prepared as possible. Setting my expectations accordingly always helps to ensure a more successful trip. ALSO - really hoping to do the Boo Bash! :)

So - here's to my first trip in WAY too long and bringing along Baby N (to be!)

So very happy for you! So glad your back! So looking forward to your trip!
Welcome to the PTR and THANK YOU ALL! All the warm and fuzzies from your congratulations.

So good to be back with the Magicians. I never miss a @Tuvalu or @Darstarr TR.. and now it appears I have quite a bit of catching up to do. Ladies.. prepare for the Schitt's Creek/Friends gifs incoming!

Excited to read ALL y'alls TRs over the next few months to get even more excited for my September trip.

We just returned from Colorado/Chicago to visit my brother and sister respectively. I am feeling VERY grateful that I did not plan a WDW trip during my first trimester... because it was a bit.. rough :depressed:

BUT .. telling them about their new niece or nephew in person was so fun!

My niece Parker, born in March of this year! Ready to be a big cousin.

And my brother's bernedoodle puppy, Wally, was excited too.

As you can imagine, I've already started receiving Disney themed gifts for the baby:

One of my distractions to make time fly until September will be the nursery - classic Disney literature themed! :)

The current trip countdown: 114 days!!

Congratulations on your baby! No advice on going while pregnant. Now in my excitement to introduce my kids to WDW, I took my son on his first trip when he was 17 months. Don’t think I’d do it again. Anyway, can’t wait to read your report!

Well..

After 234 call attempts to finally get on hold for 3.5 hours - I was able to purchase Boo Bash tickets for September 24th!! I’m so exhausted by the process but happy.

(Me, but the pill is melatonin )

We have never done MNSSHP, but love After Hours events, so I’m sure we will love it.

Now the big task: a cute pregnancy friendly Halloween costume. Very tempted to steal @sheriffwoody ’s Pooh idea from TR a few years ago!

Congratulations on your IVF success! So excited that you’ll be able to visit Disney while pregnant.
I’ve been twice while pregnant, both in the first trimester, which worked out for us. My best advice is to drink lots of water and know where the bathrooms are. And rest every now and then.
My family has a trip scheduled for mid-October, so I’ll be looking to hear how your trip goes!

Real Life AND trip update!

First things first.. we found out yesterday what kind of Mouseketeer we have on board:

A GIRL!

We are so excited.

Also this week - My Boo Bash tickets (on FP+ cards) for September 24th arrived via mail. Still TOTALLY stumped on costumes for Ian and myself. I want them to be cute, but also comfy for a pregnant gal, but also not too hot for 2 Mainers in Florida in September!! Struggling here you guys lol. There are plenty when you Google it, but some results are not exactly... my flavor 😆

HAH! I don't know if the bare belly or the legs are worse.

Anyways.. 92 days to go, but who is counting?! (me. I am)
