[COVID-19] DCL Sailings Canceled

Locals and Land&Sea folks. They would need to coordinate it with WDW being open (which I assume would be the case, anyway).
I’d assume that WDW is up and running before DCL. The only question would be if they’d want to cross contaminate the DCL and WDW pools. Maybe require that guests cruise then go to the parks?

My cruise is the first one after this list. I'm scheduled to depart on June 21st. I guess I will have to wait and see for a while longer.

Gotta wonder what the cruise ship staff is doing during this extended non-sailing time. Besides missing out on the tip income, extended time would seems to be very difficult to expend.

No. But they know they’ll survive it.

I had it. For me, it was a bad cold with some weird symptoms. I’m no longer afraid of it, however.
One of my good friends from church nearly died from it. He was in ICU, intubated for 15 days, and then once extenuated was in the hospital for 20 more. He then went to inpatient rehab for another 10 days. He just went home last week. So with this virus the saying “YMMV”, truly applies. Glad you’re doing better!

Has that been validated as well? that if you get it and have certain symptoms, that you will have those same symptoms again if you get it again? Maybe it is medications you are on that determines the reaction, maybe it is the initial does of virus you get that infects you, who knows (seriously, who knows - does anybody).

I have had the flu where I have taken a 2 hour nap and was pretty much over it. I have also had the flu where it knocked me out for 3 days. Granted, it could have been different strains, but I don't know if I would be so sure that just because I had COVID once, I know exactly how it would impact me if I got it again.

Heck, it could be like poison ivy. The first time in your life you touch it, nothing happens, maybe the second or third as well. Once you build up enough antibodies against it, BAM! You touch it and your body's histamine response kicks into over drive and you get a rash.

Virus's don't work like poison ivy. You don't have a histamine response to a virus.
