I don’t really know enough about Chapek to formulate a valid opinion.

I was just coming to ask what this actually means for TWDC, and specifically the parks. I've heard negative things about Chapek, but I haven't heard anything overwhelmingly positive about anyone since Walt was CEO. I know people disliked Eisner, they disliked Iger, they already dislike Chapek.

I believe Iger said he would stay on until Disney plus was rolled out and the Fox buy out was complete

Extended. Twice, I think.

He was supposed to remain as CEO until the end of 2021 ... almost two years away. Something is up.

I dont think so. He is still staying on until then and Chapek is reporting to him. Just maybe a transition plan they decided on.
