Save the Adventurers Club

Probably too adult for today's Disney. Are they in other shows in the parks?
The actors? Yes. Citizens of Hollywood, frozen sing-along, hoop-dee-doo, finding Nemo, Indiana Jones, etc. all have past Comedy Warehouse / Adventurers Club performers.

Adventurers Club could be toned down for an all-ages crowd quite easily just like Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special that they did in the parks for like 5 years.

Which—if you think about the fact there are more adult guests without kids than ever before—is kind of depressing. ;)

Did we save the Adventurers Club?

From Wikipedia,
The Society of Explorers and Adventurers, or SEA for short, is an organization that Walt Disney Imagineering has been steadily incorporating into attractions around the world. When the Adventurers Club closed, props would be saved and re-purposed in other places and occasionally, narrative connections between the Adventurers Club and SEA would be made in some of these locations, with the Adventurers Club being established as being a successor or a branch established decades after most SEA attractions.

At Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Point, the Explorers Club Restaurant's collection of artifacts includes several pieces from the Mask Room. Lord Henry Mystic, the lead SEA member of the land, notes in journal excerpts on the wall that noticing the way these masks moved made him nervous enough to move them out of the main museum in the house. With the land being set in 1908, this makes this the first chronological home for them.

At the Magic Kingdom's Skipper Canteen Restaurant, inspired by the Jungle Cruise, a display case of SEA club fezes near the restaurant's SEA meeting room dining area features the SEA membership fez of Merryweather Pleasure. Additionally, one of the menu items is named for Pamelia Perkins, the Perkins Thai Noodles.

At the Aulani resort kids club, Aunty's Beach House, a portrait that once hung in the Adventurer's Club and a letter from Pamelia Perkins identifies and retcons the figures depicted as being of a predecessor to the Adventurer's Club known as the "Pillagers Brigade" with a younger Harrison Hightower III of Tokyo Disney Sea's Tower of Terror among them, years before he joined SEA and eventually found the Shiriki Utundu Idol.

So while the Adventures Club was destroyed, it still lives on in many places.

Kungaloosh Adventurers,

Between 2013 and 2018 a group of dedicated Club Members reunited and celebrated the "Adventurers Club", in annual event known as Adventurers in Charity, which in it's 6 year span, raised over $40,000 for various charities including the American Heart Association, A Better Life Pet Rescue, The American Cancer Society and The Dravet Foundation to name a few. For years, the proceedings of those mysterious meetings were shrouded in secrecy and only the attendants knew what occurred. However, tomorrow night, at 8PM EST, the footage of the first of the six annual meetings will be leaked! So, follow the link above, grab a properly chilled adult beverage, prepare to laugh and join continue tuning in for the following 5 weeks as the rest of the meetings videos shall be released!

*sigh*... current conditions, and this here tequila, are making me miss AC so much... 🥺. Ah heck...I miss PI as a whole. Everything... from sneaking in a quick little improv on the piano at the Jazz Club at 3am, to helping "that guy" up after he just finished vomiting all over the rocks by the lake behind RnRBC. I particularly miss passing thru The Missing Link, on my way to the back stairs outside by the lake that led up to the Accounting offices, to empty the trash cans. That feeling when you closed the door behind you up there, and the loud music, laughter, and chaos suddenly became muffled and was replaced by the calming white noise from the a/c, is something I still remember vividly. Surreal were those days.
